Pashtun Nationalist Seddique Mateen's son massacred 50 gays in Orlando
At least four regular customers of Pulse, the nightclub where the massacre took place, said Monday that they believe they had seen Mateen there before.
"Sometimes he would go over in the corner and sit and drink by himself, and other times he would get so drunk he was loud and belligerent," said Ty Smith, who also uses the name Aries.
He saw Mateen at the club at least a dozen times, he told the Orlando Sentinel.
"We didn't really talk to him a lot, but I remember him saying things about his dad at times," Smith said. "He told us he had a wife and child."
"Omar Mateen traveled to Saudi Arabia in March of 2011 and March of 2012 on 10-day pilgrimages where he performed Umrah
Mateen made the first pilgrimage after separating from his wife, who said that he never showed an interest in religion when they were together
He became more and more religious in the wake of his divorce according to a friend, and a former co-worker described Mateen as a devout Muslim
Mateen was investigated in 2013 for saying he knew Boston bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who he called his 'homeboys' in 911 call
Mateen 'did practice and he had his faith' said Yusifiy, but was not devout or radical about his beliefs."
Omar Mir Siddique Mateen's family and friends were interviewed by the media. They described him as a man who use to take drugs, smoke, he didn't pray, he shaved his beard and was beating his wife. That makes him a typical Pashtun nationalist.
Becuase Pashtun nationalists are not practising Islam.
Pashtun Nationalism is an ignorant ideology
but claiming someone who beats his wife and does lewd and indecent acts is by default a Pashtun Nationalist is a false equivalence and intellectually dishonest
What about Pashtun Nationalists that don't do those things? does it disqualify their Pashtun Nationalism? It's a Texas Sharpshooter Fallacy; just trying to fit things that fit your ideological premise.
Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."
"Persians" (I suppose you mean Afghan Tajik) goy many problems and our culture got many flaws. But mass cases of terrorism, drug dealing and religious fanaticism seems to be strong among Pashtun people. More than any other people in the world. I blame your warmonger culture.
You must have been in a coma between 1975-2001. Some of the most extreme elements of the Civil War were lead by Tajiks, who also used opium trade for financing.

“(He’d get) really, really drunk... He couldn’t drink when he was at home—around his wife, or family. His father was really strict... He used to bitch about it,” Smith told the Canadian Press.
Never talk with Afghans about politics. All their political knowledge is limited to conspiracy theories, political demonization and contradictions. No logic, no reason.

I started this thread mentioning his father who is a Pashtun Nationalist. I didn't say he was one. But Pashtun nationalists here on pf saw that as an attack on them. I was just trolling after that.
What really motivated this guy is mental illness. He was a sick man and he inherited that sickness from his Pashtun Nationalist father.
His father curses Pakistan all day on tv and Facebook and yet sunny boy had a big green Pakistan flag and a Jinnah quote as his banner.
According to people who knew him at the gay bar, he kept complaining about his fathers strictness.
FBi investigated him after he bragged about being a friend or Tsarnayevs. But it turned out he was lying.
Bottom line is: he was insane. But if it hurts nationalists feelings, I would say he was motivated by their ideology.

In my opinion, loneliness and an empty, purposeless life took a toll on him. Just imagine a person who was rejected by two women. No success as a married man, no fulfillment in life - and that also in the case of an eastern man where a very high importance is attached to being able to build a family and have a successful career.
According to news he had two wives; the one that divorced him in 2011; the other who was married him for a short time but ultimately left him as well. One can just imagine the depression and melancholy he might be going though.

So because women couldn't deal with his violent nature and left him he went to a gay bar and killed so many people?
I think he was already sick. Women left him because of it. And it now turns out he was also gay.

This killer pledged allegiance to ISIS in a 911 call before the attack. And the ISIS thugs issued a statement acknowledging that the shooter was affiliated with ISIS. Pashtun nationalism has nothing to do with this. And those who try to argue otherwise have questionable motives... to say the least.
Because isis saying it was their man wasn't credible enough they had to come up with a back up quick time and say he rang 911 himself lol.. But hold up, why ring 911 to pledge your allegiance!? Is that the hotline bling for Isis or is it the recruitment line or something, why do you have to ring 911 to pledge allegiance.. Why no mention of his 'alliegence' to his family or anyone else.
