The blame should be on both parties, Saudis can't control it and they have messed up the whole place by building it so much, and pilgrims their need to be less wild and fanatic, some of the go crazy during Hajj ritualsOriginally posted by Al-Afghani View PostNow the government paid clerics have come out to white wash the Saudi regime's failure.
Hajj stampede: Saudi mufti says deaths 'beyond human control'
He told the interior minister, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, that he was not to blame for the tragedy.

Saudi mufti is an employee of the government. He only talks on behalf of the government.
Having a grand mufti who issues fatwa's for the government is a bid'ah. A religious innovation, which means it is un-Islamic.
The truth is, Saudis are at fault here. They are responsible for the hajj and umrah and they have enough money to invest on useless buildings. They should spend less on aestethics and more on practical stuff.
If they can't manage ever growing number of pilgrims, they should give less visa's.
I'd rather pay more and wait longer to go to hajj than to pay less and go there while the whole process is not well managed.
Nobody is going to hell for not going to hajj under current situation in the world.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. All their political knowledge is limited to conspiracy theories, political demonization and contradictions. No logic, no reason.

What happens? People go pilgrimage to do murder or suicide? Don't be stupid. Furthermore anything can make you go crazy not only religion, a lack of religion can also make you crazy, depends on the individual.Originally posted by Karachi View PostActually this does happen. It's time the Saudis realized the institution of Hajj is not a Saudi exclusive. It belongs to all Muslims. After the ouster of the Sharif of Makkah, the stewardship should have been transferred to a group of selected alems from all over the world. In the past the Hajj was the principal source of income for the Arabs. The Turks had built suitable infrastructures. But the major funding for Makkah's development and Hajj arrangement came from donations by SA Muslims.

Posts like this makes me really doubt if you people are even religious, or have contact with religious people. You are all so clueless about the average mentality of a muslim person. You all really sound like some hippy left liberal vegans.Originally posted by Manzareh View PostWhat happens? People go pilgrimage to do murder or suicide? Don't be stupid. Though I'm no fan of the Saudis, I believe that the main administration and management of the Hajj should remain in their hands, whilst other Muslims should be welcome to assist but not dictate e.g. the arrogant and bigheaded Turks.Originally posted by asad71 View PostIt's time the Saudis realized the institution of Hajj is not a Saudi exclusive. 1. This is in accordance with Islamic tradition, even the Saud tribe make sure they respect the traditional guardians of the keys to the Ka'ba.
This is significant since the country literally is "Saudi" Arabia, a family owned state akin to "Clinton America".
2. Trying to give control of Hajj to outsiders would end up creating more problems than it solves, including excessive politicization and delay in decision making.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

You can't spread the responsibilities of Hajj coordination to dozens of nations. So what happens? a bunch of people who speak different languages sitting in the Saudi control room? I don't see how this makes anything better.
This should be only the responsibility of the Saudi's and they should not **** up. As long as this family rules this portion of Arabia, it will be more of the same. Change the rulers to people who are better or expect Hajj tragedies every few years. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
