Bangladesh generally has negative media image in the Arab world due to Pakistan's influence and the influence of Jamaat e Islami (anti-Bangladeshi terrorist organization) with its links with radical "Islamists" and the Muslim Brotherhood, all of whom malign Bangladesh's independence struggle and vilify the country in general.
So the fact that the 2nd biggest country in the Arab world supports Bangladesh is warmly welcomed by us.

Algeria's powerful army, one of the biggest in the Arab world.

We hope Bangladesh and Algeria can work together to combat extremism and terrorism. We hope Algeria bans the radical "Jamaat e Islami" terrorist organization from Algeria and also Yusuf Qardawi, anti-Bangladeshi, pro-Jamaati propagandist from Algeria. He has already been banned from Egypt and Kuwait.

Yusuf Qardawi, banned from Kuwait and Egypt. The Egyptian government have brought charges against him. He is almost certainly banned from Bangladesh where the government would not allow this pro-radical preacher to enter our country.

Algeria, a traditional ally of Bangladesh in the Arab world and recognized the country's independence in an early manner.
