1. There are some Salafis who follow Shafi or even Maliki fiqh but in general their movement originating from the Najd and having state power in Saudi follows Hanbali fiqh.
Many Salafis often criticize the Hanafi madhab.
However Salafis in general are against fanatical loyalty or blind adherence to any particular madhab of fiqh (ta'assub fil madhab).
Nothing wrong with it in particular more than any of the other 3, though all 4 Madhahib and traditional Islam has issues and people I respect have said what we now know as "traditional Islam" is in fact the result of a process of distortion and zanadeeq infiltration just as much as Shia "Islam".Whats wrong with Hanbali fiqh?
A big topic which I can't expand on and isn't appropriate to do so especially in a forum like this where there are many trolls including those who want to cause "revulsion through unreason".* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

This is a quite shallow and random description of the Salafi movement.Originally posted by Bengal_Tiger View Post1. There are some Salafis who follow Shafi or even Maliki fiqh but in general their movement originating from the Najd and having state power in Saudi follows Hanbali fiqh.
In what sense? Many Salafis often criticize the Hanafi madhab.
And that suppose to be a bad thing? However Salafis in general are against fanatical loyalty or blind adherence to any particular madhab of fiqh (ta'assub fil madhab).
What are you trying to imply?Nothing wrong with it in particular more than any of the other 3, though all 4 Madhahib and traditional Islam has issues and people I respect have said what we now know as "traditional Islam" is in fact the result of a process of distortion and zanadeeq infiltration just as much as Shia "Islam".
So basically you post a random comment about salafi movement where you claim that because it is based on hanbali fiqh, it is not compatible with 21st century.A big topic which I can't expand on and isn't appropriate to do so especially in a forum like this where there are many trolls including those who want to cause "revulsion through unreason".
When you are asked to explain why you feel this way you say that you are intimidated by RTR and rather not discuss it here.
Hmmm. It seems to me that you have no idea what you are talking about. You are just making excuses.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. All their political knowledge is limited to conspiracy theories, political demonization and contradictions. No logic, no reason.

This is not to say that Assad is not a tyrant who is killing many Syrian civilians.
To play devils advocate, could it be that Saudi Arabia has a hand in this?
It is hard to believe that Assad would conduct a chemical weapons attack in the very same week that UN weapon inspectors had come to inspect some sites. He could have done it several weeks earlier or later (after UN inspectors leave).
If Saudi Arabia can support Sisi in his massacring of Egyptians, then whose to say that they could not have given chemical weapons to some rebels (foreign most likely) to commit this crime? This obviously would play into their larger strategic interest of dragging the US into a conflict with Syria and Iran, a conflict which the Saudis/ GCC/ Turkey and Israel either do not want to initiate or be a part of, but nevertheless, enthusiastically support. (Israel-Iran conflict is a separate issue)
This is not the first time there has been false flags.Last edited by Shah-i-Kot; 08-26-2013, 07:37 PM.

Even though Asad and his army are indeed evil. there is something bigger going on here
even the Kurdish sunni group in Syria actually said syria is being framed: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/syrian-kurd...181018014.html
to be honest no one would be that stupid, espeically when they have a upper hand.
The americans, Israelis and Saudis are backing the rebels, who themselves are brutal human beings. Never trust anyone, this is all power struggle, they will do the sickest crimes just to gain powerLast edited by Karachi; 08-27-2013, 02:16 PM.

Salih Muslim is not Sunni. He is a secular Nationalist kurd. Something like Asfandyar Wali Khan.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. All their political knowledge is limited to conspiracy theories, political demonization and contradictions. No logic, no reason.

The regime has been using chemical weapons for some time now, so chances are his gov't didn't think it would of killed as many people as it did or that it wouldn't of gotten so much attention. Its strange that the world acts like hundreds of thousands of people dying from bullets and bombs is acceptable but a few hundred people dying from a chemical attack is the al assad regime crossing some line. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Assad never signed any agreement banning wmd's. So it is even more strange that he is being punished for it now.Originally posted by randolph85 View PostThe regime has been using chemical weapons for some time now, so chances are his gov't didn't think it would of killed as many people as it did or that it wouldn't of gotten so much attention.
