racism is real in america but using it as an excuse for the condition of african americans today is a joke. afghan muslims came to america with no command of the english language and foreign sounding names and make a good honest living today, many being more successful than white americans. today it can be said the conditions are even worse for the children of immigrants because of the spotlight on muslims. today, job applications with the name JaNiqua Jenkins are more appealing with one that has the name Muhammad in it to an employer.

again this goes back to personal responsibility, institutionalized racism is not to blame for a dumb girl getting knocked up by a dumb guy and the baby repeating the same cycle. it had to of started from somewhere and instead of this kind of behavior being demonized, its popularized in black culture. i don't know what changed but blacks seemed to be more "civilized" when they were legally oppressed. hell, look at the beautiful music they made in the 50s and 60s compared to now.

the poverty of most afghans would make african americans look like upper class citizens economically so i don't take poverty into consideration.

i am not a racist but i call it how i see it, i have also said things about pashtun people that have made people angry but it is what it is.

Im not saying its excuses but the fact is the police don't really do anything to clean up the crime in black neighborhoods. you have to ask the question why one neighborhood has lower crime rate than another. More than 80% of the prison population is black while 12% of the general population are black. It all falls down on law enforcement. There is a reason why people racially profile, its because of statistics.

Black children born out of wedlock are at more than 73%.

I live besides a heavily majority African-American community so I live and understand their day to day struggles. There's alot of variables that come into play that holds them back:

1) There's liquor stores in every corner, followed by gas stations and bodegas.

2) their libraries are in embarrassment to the name of the U.S. they barely have any books shelved in their small library.

3) drugs. Crack, cocaine, heroin, is as easy to buy here as a bag of chips. Their marijuana is even bad. The dealers lace up chemicals to strengthen the potency, without a care in the world. I have seen people turn into zombies, when a weed high really shouldn't be fucing them up like that.

4) heavy police presence. All it takes is 1 arrest, and you could kiss your life goodbye. Once you have something in your record, expect to be discriminated against. They have police checkpoints here like its Afghanistan.

5) Rap music. Yes, even though I rap, a lot of Rap music enslaves and corrupt people.

6) school system. Embarassment.

police are already in black neighborhoods disproportionately to white ones, and going by statistics the police are locking up blacks from these neighborhoods far more than the cops patrolling the non black neighborhoods. mind u, this is only an example in a city with a large black and white community.

the black panthers took care of business. there were no drugs in the neighborhoods when the black panthers were around, the thugs feared them. The law enforcement outlawed them. They took out the people that actually cared about their communities and empowered the ones that are destroying it.

Libraries and schools are made by the local community, yes they are but if the community is heavily impoverished, shouldn't it be the job of neighboring communities to help? I remember back in HS, they were talking about closing the HS down, and telling the students to register to the HS in the next neighborhood.

The police definitely harass. But when they arrest one dealer, another one opens up shop.

law enforcement is probably what is keeping them from destroying each other entirely.

many of these blacks are living in jahil of their own making, as long as they perpetuate it then it won't stop. the same can be said of afghanistan in some sense.
