no on esugested that you said that? again a diversion.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostI honestly was expecting a childish response like this, so not surprised. Firstly, I'm not 'parading' against a Mosque, read my post more carefully. Also, write the character M in Mosque capitalized. In Kandahar, you can certainly expect a sotay on your head for that. ;]
there is nothing childish about it!
upon further inquirey it seems to an Islamic center not just a mosque.
why should i write M and why would people in kandahar care about that let alone having sotay on my head.there is no concept of capital letter when writing majid,or jumath.
That's what I just did, read carefully.
where?instead you are trying to stop/critcise the building of the "MEGA MOSQUE" by the evil arabs.
I never said let's chop their heads off, Taliban style, because they are building a Mosque -- Let's not misconstrue what I said. I just voiced my suggestion. If Saudi wants to build 50 more Mosques, not much anyone can do. I just HOPE they realize what the Afghan priorities are, building Mosques is certainly not one of them, since they exist in tremendously large numbers already.
why should mosues be a problem to an Islamic nation such as Afghanistan and yes there is nothing you can do about it.
so what if mosques exist TREMENDOUSLY ? you should say alhamdulilah instead of getting sad about it. and what has this got to do with priorities?
this is an innitiative by ministery of hajj and Islamic affairs and if your concern is so much about having a university why dont you knock on the door of ministery of education?but offcourse that has nothing to do with MEGAMOSQUE project.
THERE IS NO PROBLEM IF A MEGA MOSQUE/ISLAMIC CENTER IS BUILT IN AFGHANISTAN.

LOL clueless talks about **** they don't know! why would they build a mosque and not help feeding the poor! im not defending them but im trying to show those who talks about agendas or whatever got to do with politics that they are ****ing idiots.
im sure there are Loads of money being send from muslims to afghanistan but they are almost in the bald pocket like its always been. last time he came to saudi he shameless kissed the saudi king hands which is really boils ma blood.
instead of pointing your fingers towards the salafi muslims go and read about islam and teach yourself few things that may help you in this life..
why would a muslim choose to build a mosque becuase the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge and a righteous son who will pray for him.” Narrated by Muslim, 3084.
whoever build a mosque allah will build him a house in jannah
there are lots of reward for this thing and more importantly is the ongoing charity, like whoever pray in this house you will have the reward like him and lots other things. who wouldn't want to build a mosque over any other things?
but that doesnt mean you should build mosques when you have lots and there are poor people dying, im sure they have given lots of money for the poor but ask your puppet gov where are the money going away?
im sure there are lots of mosque been Destroyed cuz of the war.
im not defending anyone, i can tell you there are poor people who can't find anything to eat in saudi arabia too and they are saudi citizen who don't have thier own house. im pissed off of you lot posts and how you point your finger towards the salafi muslims all the time. **** off.
but what the saudi gov care about more is to get the muslims love and that's why they do all this with lots of media feed. there are lots of people who send thier money to muslims but like i said it dont reach the poor need people.
the mosques money can't be stolen becuz the saudis would want to see em soon when they build it.

With all due respect, most of these posts speak volumes. They explain why the AFPAK region is one of the worlds most backward, illiterate region on the face of the earth, and why Afghanistan can't progress. With every critical question comes the Islam card, and ready to hang up someone in a stadium card. Seriously, after decades of corruption from both local and foreign hands, after decades of wrong investments, illiterate folks still defend their very own actions that has made Afghanistan a joke in the international arena. Saudi has an agenda, and aid never comes for 'free'. Afghanistan was literrally their training ground at one point. Keep it up folks, keep up the irrational thinking. While the Saudis form a stronger alliance with Israel, you guys can continue to hang up your peers in Kandahar stadium or Ghazi stadium because they used the bathroom 4 times, and how you found a saying that said using the bathroom exactly 4 times goes against your mickey mouse teachings hence death. I hate to say it, but soon their will be no Afghanistan, mark my words now that if people don't straighten their priorities, the aforementioned is very likely to occur. The best wish 'aid' Afghanistan can have is asking Saudi, and other regional players to leave Afghanistan alone. One day, when most Afghans grow up, they will realize what that means. Replace all the hospitals and schools with Mosques, and let the nation flourish, let's the Mosques produce our future scientists and educators. I have nothing further to add here.
Major caveat:
Nothing against Mosques, it's just that we have enough, some only have less than 5 people attending them daily, yet no hospitals, or schools, and those schools and hospitals that we do have are primarily composed of illiterate folks thinking they are doctors. The same goes for Pakistan, visit Al-Asif Square in Karachi and you will find many "fake" doctors.
I'll wait for folks to quote me, and somehow 'expose' my agenda of not liking Masjids, I'm sure we have those kind of backward-thinkers here, bring it on, but don't expect a response from me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

who said it is "the world's most backward ,illiterate region? why Afghanistan cant progress is because of some 5th columners who sell the country and conspire against her not because of Islam or the indepdenent mindset of Afghans.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostThey explain why the AFPAK region is one of the worlds most backward, illiterate region on the face of the earth, and why Afghanistan can't progress.
keep your the american view to yourself, enough of the emotional blackmail.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostWith every critical question comes the Islam card, and ready to hang up someone in a stadium card.
funny how you support the corruption brought by US invasion and never mention that.Just because you have been born and bred outside Afghanistan doesnt mean you are anything better or are in position to call Afghans corrupt.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostSeriously, after decades of corruption from both local and foreign hands, after decades of wrong investments, illiterate folks still defend their very own actions that has made Afghanistan a joke in the international arena.
Afghanistan is not a joke in the international arena, maybe defending one'' indepdenence or not becoming a slave to the bigger powers is a joke to you but freedom loving people of the world dont see that way.
than lets talk about american AID to Afghanistan along with all the others who's news of building something you post with pride and see that as a sign of progress.a big fat liethere is nothing rational in being a puppet and advising others to get manipulated and indoctrinated.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostSaudi has an agenda, and aid never comes for 'free'. like saying anyoen demanding truth is a conspiracy theorist.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostI'll wait for folks to quote me, and somehow 'expose' my agenda of not liking Masjids, I'm sure we have those kind of backward-thinkers here, bring it on, but don't expect a response from me.

For the love o Islam, they are not bothered enough to prevent helpless Muslim maids having boiling water poured over their heads and their nails pulled off but they are willing to donate 100billion dollars to build a mosque in Afghanistan. For the love of Islam only.
Wow. Okay.

yeah what is the point of them building such a huge massive Islamic centre? we all know what will it teach, the same repeated salafi/wahabhi bogus agenda, which will eventually lead to more extremism and hatred among muslims.
Look at what is happening in parts of Africa, where salafis are destroying anything they find unislamic , the same saudis have funded those people. These saudis really need to be stopped, people should stand up against themLast edited by Karachi; 11-01-2012, 11:06 PM.

Why so black and white and why is that you prefer to maintain a surface analysis of everything?Originally posted by Karachi View Postyeah what is the point of them building such a huge massive Islamic centre? we all know what will it teach, the same repeated salafi/wahabhi bogus agenda, which will eventually lead to more extremism and hatred among muslims.

Is it that hard to dig a little, think a little, and ask some logical questions?
1) The Mosque is to be built in Afghanistan right?
If so, take issue with Mr. Karzai and his government. Hmmm, how will Pakistan be bought into the building of this supposed wahhabi walmart super center. After all, it MUST have been Pakistan that planned this all out since any failure on the part of Kabul's inept governance must lead to Islamabad. Hmmm, perhaps the NDS will put together a story in which Saudis funnelled money to Pakistanis who funelled it to Hekmetyaar who funnelled it to Hizbe Islam politicians who in turn approved it.
All joking aside, if the facility is being built in Afghanistan, and if Mr. Karzai and his government take issue with the brand of Islam being taught by Saudis, the Karzai government has to answer to the details of who, what, and why this was approved.
2) Did the government official who approved the building of it suggest the other options of monies to instead go toward construction?
If not, then the point is moot and onus once again falls on Kabul to explain the details.
3) Are all saudis created equal?
Apparently not since the kingdom has its own militancy problem. Its utterly ridiculous to assume that takfirism, wahabism, and salafism are all the same thing and its down right ignorant to assume that all saudis whole the same world view. You have fat royals who are chauvanists, you have talal bin walid who is a perverted western attuned chavinist, and of course you have your imprisoned dissidents who do not agree with the former in both theology and policy.
4) Exporting a Bin Baaz form of Islam
Sure they are. But when dissidents attempted to overthrow the monarchy in the 1970s and when they attempted to attack its stances and involvement in Iraq in the 1990s etc no one said a word about Saudi creating a major problem for the Muslim world. In fact, such efforts were violently suppressed. To this day, Saudi attempts to acquire London dissidents by coaxing M16 and other groups to turn them over.
5) How do you know its going to be manned by anyone other than local clerics?
The Saudis have also funded mosques in America from as far north as Albany NY to Cincinnati, OH to California. These mosques are full of professionals who actually denounce violence and are predominantly hanafi Muslims from bengladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bosnia. There are no saudi clerics running these mosques. The Saudis speak hijazi Arabic and the locals speak either dari or Pashto. They certainly could have a wahabi cleric who is a local implanted; but then it would be a local issue and once again something that the Afghan people can deal with directly.
6) Who backs the Saudis and has a well known international stance since the 1970s in the Carter era that if the flow of petrol were ever to be threatened there would be outright war to defend those interests?
You can do the homework on that one. How does such a policy make any damned sense? On the one hand you back and fund the Karzai regime and make aerial way in Africa for the Benghazi regime and yet on the other hand you have truces with Qaddaffi.
7) As an extension of 6: Mr. Who in the answer to 6 also backs Mr. Karzai
But wait, Mr. Who also pays the paper dollars for the petrol which in turn reportedly makes its way to Pakistan, which in turn reportedly also funds the black turbaned ones.
8) But wait, in order to ensure that Miss Afghanzadgeh has the right to go to school and go onto Afghan idol Mr. Who has to stay till 2024.
Wait so its Mr. Who who funnels money to Riyadh, which in turn finds its way to Wana and Angoor ada; but Mr. Who also buys Mr. Karzai his fancy green chapaan; and Mr. Who is also anti Iran but Mr. Who helped convert Iraq from an anti Iran government into a pro Iran government... yet you want him to stay till 2024???
Bottom line; if the Afghans dont want the mosque there, they will convert it into something else, but at this juncture, the "legitimately elected government" of Afghanistan under the ageis of Hamid Shah Fofalzai Bibi has approved its presence. It was the ISI... all the ISI, they used their new mind control appartus; produced by the same guys in Syria that made the Hurricane machine.Last edited by BarakzaiAbdali; 11-02-2012, 12:58 AM."2 crackheads don't become any better or stronger by sharing the same crack pipe." - Greatest PF quote
