        It's amazing what the royals/emirs/sheikhs have done to an unprecedented opportunity that was provided to them with oil & gas. Didn't help their own people, nor Muslims. Really mindblowing.

        I am fully confident in saying that if the opportunity had been afforded to Pakis, Afghanistanis, Iranians, etc, they would not have made a complete mess of it.

              I heard of the days when Afghanistan used to the centre of sufis. Where philosophical debates took place and people thought with reason. I wish those days surface again, but unfortunately it seems as though the wahhabis are taking over. Afghanistan gave birth to intelligent minds, like Ibn Sina and Rumi – but will it ever give another contribution of a great mind to the world again?
