Heck, I won't be surprised if there was a fatwa declared against pilots for going against God's will operating air planes. Surely, if God wanted human beings to fly in the sky, he would have given them wings. Astaghfarullah...

that airforce you regard so highly is not an afghan airforce that represents afghanistans diverse ethnic makeup. It is a hazara airforce.
you total moron!! a REALIST who expected an afghan airforce to be created in afghanistan by the americans, 11 years ago. you one very funny guy, khushal.

many of the hazaras are in australia and other countries, chased out of their own country by halfwits like you and 2010.
but if it is a hazara air force, good on the hazaras for working for the betterment of afghanistan.
so how do you know it is a hazara airforce? lol, a few hours ago you didn't even know there is one.

i don't regard it highly or lowly, don't try putting words into my mouth.
i informed you that it is in existence, to enlighten you, since you are unaware.

i hope it does well and that your pessimistic view proves to be wrong.
i get the impression you would like it all to fail, just so you will be right with your negativity and the little faith you have in afghans.

I wrote a paper on him once. He is the first person to make and fly a flying machine.

first flight ever in world history

i do hope your negative attitude proves to be unfounded and that afghanistan improves and is successful.
who ever told you that this is the Afghan airforce?

Are they being trained to what--- attack their own people?

Ive seen wazir who had a "badi" between families, but when a common outsider enemy approached, the "badi" was put on hold and they were united. They are fearless and they dont really care if they die in battle.
Its funny how this operation is timed at a time when US forces are being drawn down. Those militants will go to the Afghan side and create problems for Afganistan.

I really dont think the US wants the TTP to dissappear. They could use them against Pakistan in the future. Americans get obssessed with revenge(they used the afghan against the soviets for its vietnam failure and they refuse to open trade with Cube just because of the cuban missile crises that embarressed them on the international stage). Theyre failure in afghanistan is blamed on pakistan. If NATO really wanted the TTP to dissapear, they would just invade Waziristan themselves. They already have the pretext to do so.
For some reason, Waziristan became- the scapegoat for the NATO failure in Afghanistan.

Here is a letter written to a journal today that I found.

Re: your Sept. 9 article, “One a day dying in Afghanistan”:
"I perceive you have been in Afghanistan," said Sherlock Holmes to John Watson on their first meeting. In the hundred plus years since that quote, nothing has changed in Afghanistan. Three empires broke their teeth there, the British, the Ottoman and the Russian.
Just what is it that leads our political leaders to think they are any different. The grunts still go out and die for no good reason other than corporate greed. When are we going to stop filling their pockets? Get out now!
No matter how big and bad you may be, no matter how powerful your weapon, how well honed your skills are, there's always something bigger and/or badder than you are. We all know not to pick fights with things that are bigger than we are.
It does not matter what the press says. It doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. It doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right.
This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences.
When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world, “No, you move."
You can use your current position in life, as inspiration to push you forward, or you can use it as an excuse to stand still and do nothing. The choice is yours.

Haqqani commanders and ttp commanders have been fighting each other for years on and off.
