You seem to be rather duplicitous in your arguments, also you present demonstrably false narrative here by trying to portray Assad, who by the way is an Arab Nationalist, which I assume is something you oppose, as a hapless victim being wrongfully insurrected by his people. This is no different than those who defend the cowardly acts committed by the Taliban. Assad was murdering Syrian children and even women, his loyalists have been known for even using sexual abuse and rapes as tactics of intimidation, Long before the Free Syrian Army, who are actually primarily made of defectors of the Assad Regime's military, started taking action. Your intellectual dishonest here is culpable
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
Soldat, recent polling shows that the American people are actually not behind wanting to intervene in Syria.Originally posted by Soldat_Amir View Post
Regarding wanting Russian intervention though, why not just let Assad and his people work it out to whatever they want? Isn't it their business?
The issue is that the Alawite sect is in the overwhelming minority and armed to the teeth by the Russians to rule over a population of predominantly sunni origin. The issue there is that their contributions/intervention actually contribute to further radicalism developing as time goes along.
Think about what Hafiz Assad did when he theoretically crushed the brotherhood during his time. People were saying that the Brotherhood would never show its face again. To the contrary they appear to have simply melted away and done what they do best, which is watch and wait. Hafiz Assad was much more ferocious than his son and couldnt extinguish sunni resentment. Its like as if someone gave Hazara full control over Afghanistan's power, presidency, and military; it would be a complete farce and further radicalize all sunni populations.
With respect to the Bahrain issue, 100% agree with you there. Its such a terrible flash point because both Iran and Saudi are invested in that little piece of land.
Why not advocate that both Russia and American mind their own countries and take care of their own economies?"2 crackheads don't become any better or stronger by sharing the same crack pipe." - Greatest PF quote

If both Russia and America interfere with Syria, all your going to see is another Afghanistan in the making. Soldat is so stupid that he does not even know why afghanistan is the way it is.
Long live the russian army? if the russian army had died out in 1979, we would not be dealing with the TAliban whom you hate so much. Your hero najib would most probably still be alive.

Hello Soldat
I notice you are wearing military garb. What nation and army do you represent if you dont mind me asking? Off topic, but what do your commanders/generals say about you showing your views on the web? I thought this was potentially a violation of protocol.
Ramzan of Chechnya actually fought against the Russians and had an entire 'Islamist' guerrilla force behind him. The fact, there is some relative peace in Chechnya now because it has become semi-autonomous.

there is kind of a difference between arab muslims getting involved in an arab muslim country, and americans or russians doing so.There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Best countries are those, which have humanity. thats all I have to say. The russians, Islamic terrorists, and american capitalists are not human.Originally posted by roadrunner View PostAnd Islamic countries are?
^ though that said, in terms of living america is probably the best country out of all those, however that doesn't mean I agree with the pure capitalistic system, there are so many things wrong with this kind of system
