Whilst I still find India impressive, Khalsa, over the years, India's own pride has allowed some of it's marginalised neighbours to seek alliances elsewhere. The Pak-China/Pak-America alliances are linked to that. Whether a fragmented Pakistan is/is not in the interests of India is one thing, but with it's Chinese and American backers, there are many who would question whether in its current form, Pakistan is in the interests of Afghans or the Pashtoons on the border.
I'm not looking to shift the entire blame on India, but frankly, Indian policies have not helped.
In a way, I look to India's maturity for more considered decision-making.
