Courts always give decisions on evidence. courts are impartial.
yes the courts can only give decisions on evidence and its the collection of evidence that proves a problem in a corrupt society.

Again it was not a gang rape and the court decision was 100% correct.
But i wonder nobody cares for those remaining accused who were kept in jailed since the incident took place... who is responsible for that ? Can mukhtara compensate that ?

people need to be educated on the false sense of honor etc.......like raping somehow brings honor back

there also needs to be a system where influential people of villages/towns are vetted..because they normally dish out ridicolus verdicts/punishments in their jirgas

everyone needs to follow law of the land, but as prevvious members have stated a corrupt society can hardly put confidence into its citizens.

There is no law in the world that someone sees a crime and don't stop it so who is equally responsible for the crime... You have to make amendments for that in the parliament.

he seems to be siding with the obvious rapists.

emkhan if she wasnt gang raped then she wouldnt be fighting against it for so many years. you know what this has done? given way to jirga's to order rapes more freely. enjoy it.

why are you concerned about 11 men who allowed a woman to be raped, emkhan? whether there is a law about it or not, they are still to be held responsible in the eyes of humanity.(in my view)

I think in legal parlance being an "accomplice" to the crime is equal to commiting the crime itself. It is like saying "oh don't put him in prison, he didn't rape her....he just tied her up with a rope."

In the UK they say "aiding and abetting" a crime is criminal in itself.
