  • How Many Times Do You Pray In A Day?

I know most of us are busy with life. Some are working while some are studying.

For me I am so much busy with my life and I like that. Being busy better than wasting time on thinking I guess and times goes so fast. But…
My question is; I am all day busy with school and work and I hardly pray five times a day. When I woke up in the morning I pray Fajar and read Quran because that’s where I prepared for school so everything is in front of me but then Dhur, Asr and Maghrib I missed most of the time. Also I never missed Friday pray at all because all we friends go together to Friday pray to Downtown and we pray together. After school I straight go to work and I work till Maghrib only 5 or 6 hours. Then I come home and hardly have I prayed Isha because I am tired but I pray Isha most of the time. I am not lazy nor I ignore pray but the reason is that I don’t have time for and Allah (S.A.W) watching me that I can work but I cannot pray. How bad is that I know

It’s really bugging me and makes me uncomfortable when I don’t pray.
I want to know that is everybody busy like me and missed pray whiles you working or you in school. Please tell me the truth and also how many times do you really pray in a day doesn’t matter how you are busy?

    Thanks for everyone.

      Assalam-Alaikum,
Nor ka ta har kaar ka ye, khu hagha sta khpal kaar dey, magar da lmanza sakha khwa ma tor kawa.

Please try to pray as much as you can, as often as you can. Its a win-win situation for you. It takes what? 5-10minutes max? Put it this way, I am employed for a Fortune500 company and I have still made time for my prayers. You have no clue how hectic it is here but I have still brought a masala(you call it jaan-namaz or something?)to my work place, and I pray at work during my breaks.

Remember him, and he will remember you.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I thought I'd share this from my blog: Na Qarara Zrhe: Recognising our Purpose

Every year - during Ramadhan - Ibadah becomes a mere ritual in our lives, without recognising its true purpose and significance. Despite our flourishing lives, successes in every field, happiness on the immediate front, our lives are nothing but empty; empty of the real pleasure and happiness an individual should strive for. Ibadah has become a seasonal component in our lives. Allah says: "Not without purpose did We create the heaven and earth and all between." (Quran 38:27). Our worldly affairs are part of our purpose, but not the purpose itself. In fact, the purpose of creation and the human life is based on Ibadah as Allah says: "I have only created Jinns and human beings, that they may offer their Ibadah (to Me)." (Quran 51:56).

Although the upbringing and customs we are exposed to have an affect on our state of mind and actions, every individual has an inborn inclination to worship and seek the pleasure of his Creator. Undoubtedly at one point in our lives, we all come to question our existence, and then, the individual begins to recognise the signs that are shown to him, physically or spiritually. Seek these signs and respond to them as they too are a response to your call and desires of recognising the path you should walk. Take those steps carefully and be mindful of the rocky tract that is bound to come your way, as this life is merely a series of trials set out for men of understanding.

              Walikum Salaam;

My bro and dad also take jane maz in their car and pray whenever time comes. They also pray in their work place. But for me the place where I work is they don’t have place to pray and all day they play music and movies. Also the place might be dirty where I am working so not sure…
I have to do something or put a reminder in my phone to remind me of prayers each times.

The inner peace comes to your heart when you remember Him.

Prayer is something our ancestors put their lives to an end for. Prayer is something that is stressed many a time in the Quran. Prayer is the building block of a Mu'min's life. Prayer is among the first things you will be questioned for in the grave, where darkness and silence is the only companion. Prayer is something that all four madhaahib are agreed on that one who does not pray is not a Muslim. Prayer is the sweetness of a Mu'min's life. Prayer is the only difference between us and kufaar. Prayer is the contract between a believer and His Creator.

i love praying..i can never miss a prayer on purpose. like for example if i'm in home and it is time for a prayer i go and pray. But some time ago i started working like for a month, n i will missed most of the prayers. i did feel bad. Sometimes we want to pray but our surroundings make it harder for us. for example when i used to work in health field, i didnt feel good praying there cuz i didnt find the place clean. but i'm proud of others who always pray five times a day and find a place for themselves to pray, i'm trying to be like that inshallah.

Be Practical in life, Your duas are not going to feed the poor nor is it going to make you rich or well off. Mankind succeeds through struggle and determination, something a Dua/prayer does not bring.

Answer to the thread question-I do not pray at all. I prefer to be practical than to prayer to the skies.
Not True...if you keep making dua for something u will get in one way or another. Till now my prayers have always been answered, but the important thing is to have sabr.
For example when we want someone to do something for us, we keep begging them and then finally the person agrees. so the same thing with Allah too if you keep praying to him, he will shower his blessing on you.

Those who have humility and turn to their Creator for help have seen the strength of duas. At times, it may not immediately bring earnings, in a physical form, but what dua does give us, is contentment, perseverance and satisfaction in everything achieved afterward. Believers have an inborn inclination toward determination and achieving success, and that is through their unique ways of seeking their Creator's pleasure. Success, undoubtedly, to every individual lies in different means. More than practicality, it is pride that draws us back from our Creator, the same pride demonstrated by Iblees at the time of Adam's (alayhi salaam) elevation over other created beings. If one understands the value of their lives in Allah's Glorious sight, and that humans are the highest and most dearest form of creation to Him, you whole body submits itself to His will.

And one last thing, those who do pray, do not pray to the skies. You might want to look that up again.
