They claim that it was in the bible that these bigots should go and occupy America, massacre its people to create their ideal state where they can create a country based on their bigotted ideas and concepts of christianity that was impopular and counterproductive in the thiriving and expanding enlightenment era of Europe.

Of course it's influenced by Hobbes and Locke, it's not like those people just fell out of the sky, they were people who lived in Europe and were influenced by the literature there.

How would they build a nation in which they force down one particular religion down everyone's throat and discriminate against all others when that is the very issue that led them to flee their countries in the first place? And if that was the case, why is Christianity never mentioned in the constitution?

You cannot parallel Americans today with the people who founded this country.


Listen. It's easy to claim that I as an American have been brainwashed and know nothing. But I grew up in Europe, right next to you. I understand how difficult it is as a person living in Europe to even see what America is like, let alone to acknowledge its good aspects. Yes, America is flawed, and yes, there are many many many MANY issues that need to be fixed. But the fact that the very concept of this nation and the idea upon which it was actually built is different from other nations cannot be denied. If you wish to claim that it was built for tyranny, sure, go ahead. That is not what I experience here and that is not what life over here suggests. People are open and people love their freedom and HENCE will defend yours. They might never agree with what you say but they will defend your very right to say it. They might not understand the language you speak but they will not label you a "foreigner".
That is not the case in Europe. You can do what you want, be second-generation-immigrant, be a professor of Germanic Studies at Heidelberg University - you are still not German, you're Afghan and you always will be. You're not considered part of the community but rather an addition, a foreign body, a foreigner- you'll never be accepted as someone who has European identity. This notion in itself makes you a second-class citizen, whereas here, people are from such various backgrounds that American identity implies a diverse identity.
