Agnosticism is the position that the existence of God is unknowable and we can never truly find out if a God exists or not.

Within agnostics there are Agnostic theists & Agnostic Atheists. The former believe in God but don't know for sure he exists, the latter don't know for sure that he doesn't exist but believe the evidence is stacked against God.

I'd say I'm an agnostic atheist

I thought he'd left the forum like a good boy. Nope, now he's on threads telling people what it means to be a good Muslim while here talking about raping men, hm. Mashallah?

Belive me you are not. Most of Pashtuns in the west dont even really belive in Islam they just see it as tradition that need to be kept becuase they dont really have an alternative to build their moral code on.

I am more Agnostic, but like I dont know if God excist or not, but I dont belive in Islam, for me Mohamad was just a smart warlord who combined jewish and christian stories and gave his own twist to it and called it Islam.

This guy is a joker just like Karachi is. It took you years to figure out Karachi was Indian when it took me less than 3 minutes.

This Porus noob claimed to be Punjabi, yet can't speak the language. Could care less about his personal religious beliefs, but the statements he makes are those of an out of touch with reality burger bacha hiding out in a western country.

I would love for him to take this poll in Pakistan or Afghanistan on the streets. He would last an hour at best.

I am Punjabi. You swore at me in street Punjabi, I didn't dignify you with a response. Actually Punjabis like you can't really uphold any good conversation in your mother-tongue, for you, your mother-tongue is only good for talking about rape and violence. Quite typical of the urban Punjabi. Good conversations are reserved for prestigious 'Urdu', such is the rot in your low-caste mind.

What does that prove? That Pakistan is an intolerant **** hole? A piece of turd carved out of India with a bunch of **** skinned, dirty muzzies running around blowing cars up in response to a Muhammad cartoon? Good job. So funny it is then when you go 'why do peepal have negative persepshun of Paaaakstaaan.... vee hav naice mountainz and lakes' LOL pathetic

I am curious Khostai. Since you don't approve Islam what do you think we Muslims should do? Should we embrace liberalism? Democracy? Illiberal democracy? Liberal democracy? Conservatism? Collectivism? Individualism? What do you think we should do? Become Westerners?

Muslim turned athiest/liberals are liberals until liberalism ****s them over usually in the form of the monsters it turns women into, than they revert back to traditional ideas, but it's too late than, obviously there will always be low testosterone weak men who will support women regardless of the consequences but unfortunately in liberal societies these guys are touted as the nice guys, good husbands, basically slaves to women.

Weak men support women, in A patriarchal society like we have Back home the weak men do not raise their heads and the women oblige with social norms, because women hate to be unsocial.

I tend to shy away from terms like "religion" and "religious" because they have connotations that I find to be misleading. First of all ,if you call yourself "religious" there's a certain underlying "smugness" associated with that; secondly, there's expectations on who you are and your behavior if you identify with being "religious".

I accept religion and the role of religion in humanity, in the philosophical and anthropological sense. I view it as more than simply "superstitions" that helped us explain what we couldn't explain or provide solutions when we lacked the depth of knowledge we have amassed till now or deal with our mortal anxieties/fears. I believe religion reveals profound insights into who we are as humanity and reflects a great deal about the structure and orientation of our instincts and drives, how morality became morality, how ethics became ethics. Why certain things are timelessly relevant and certain things are dynamically fluid in relation to context and relevance/need.

Without getting too much into "Woo Woo", religion for me is an anthropological testament to our relationship to nature as much as it a vehicle for transcendence. In line with the Hermetic Adage "As Above, So Below".

Religion as its role in teaching humans how to navigate, is a management system, and like all management systems, there's a spirit behind it, a central set of principles that provide a coherent platform to operate from. This is what I call the spirit of Religion, the essence of what the precepts of religions set to draw our attention to. The rulings are often used as means of facilitating that, but are not necessarily in themselves immutable.

As a result I began re-examining the concept of religion, and more specifically Islam from a vantage point of greater abstraction. Islam became less a about this demogogy surrounding a set of texts and more about a Universal Idea ...a Universal theme...that all our experience of Reality is governed by a higher set of principles and the activities involved in humanity'sexistence is a devolution of this. Islam was never simply a religion that came down with Muhammad (saw) nor was Muhammad(saw) simply a man that appeared in Arabia. Islam in the abstract is the harmony of the notes of the Celestial Song, submission/surrender if you will and Muhammad(saw) the man was a manifestation of Muhammad the archetype (many people don't realize "Muhammad" was not Nabi(saw)'s actual name)

The use of Arabic language for the Qur'an and whatever associated with that, Hadith, Ulama, Shari'ah were vehicles to preserve this information for those who would contemplate deeply enough to extrapolate it. But they were not the essence. Islam is not about the Shari'ah, rather Shari'ah was a means to facilitate Islam

Consequently, upon realizing this I drew away from the idea that we need a "Shari'ah" Government or some Politically driven Islam. Rather what we need is a revolution of consciousness and everything else will follow naturally. If we're all thinking towards the grander essence, who needs a "Shari'ah Government?" Who needs to whip people for drinking? or stone adulterers? If people are properly nourished and enriched with greater consciosuness, would probably not be doing those things anyways. It's because that key focus was never emphasized that we ended up stagnantly sitting in the vehicle and never moving toward the destination.

The word "Islam" is not really in reference to a creed we've come to know as Islam. it's a term used to describe a Reality beyond words, hence everything at its core is Islam and there are "Muslims" who may not call themselves Muslims, and Non-Muslims who call themselves Muslims. Only God knows who is who. There is an Islam hidden in the Zoroastrian's fire, in the Hindu'ss Idol, in the Atheist's denial, Just as there is kufr in videos of thugs parading around decapitated bodies as if they're trophies by so called "Mujahideen".

I believe there's a quote by Shabistari, "agar Mu'min zandaqa danesh kada kho baresh iman paida mekona. agar iman danesh kada kho baresh zandaqa paida mekona

(that could be a paraphrase, if you know the actual quote please provide it).

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."
