I'm not familiar with Campbell's description; but I am familiar with the concept of the monomyth.

What is particular about Monomyth as Campbell describes it?

I feel Islam stresses the concept of "mono-saga" since the Middle East was a civilization crossroads, this saga is shared between East and West and culminates and branches out as a nexus from the Middle East.

Addendum: Ok so Campbell coined the concept of Monomyth; I'll admit I don't know the concept in full detail, so please share what you know if you can.
