The beating continued even when she was clearly unconscious.
There was no evidence or trial. People heard why a guy started attacking her & they simply joined in.

Those are botched executions. Typically they will try it again. I never said I was for executions. In most civilized states, capital punishment is banned.
There is a big difference.

Stoning last until the people are satisfied.
They even continue to stone dead bodies.
Stoning is more about making the person suffer than killing him.
