Seems as if Ghazali put some road blocks in the way to such "progress" for drunkards and those that sell themselves to all comers.

Those who live by the sword die by it and Najib, dangerous lunatic and fanatic that he was (as well as an excellent liar), broke his Hippocratic Oath thousands of times with his bare hands. By the grace of God I have never ended a man's life with hands so tis my hope that God preserves me.

there are men who have blood on their hands .

there are men who have blood on their mouth because their words preceded the act .

and there are men who have blood on their brains , because their thoughts and plans are the blueprint for the hands who kill .

Seems like "dr" najib went through all of these stages. It is too bad that those that hold him in high regard and those that follow him don't take note of how his own people ended him. Thakhth landi bandi so par aha. An excellent firownic misaal in our own life time

Dr. Najeeb was far better than you. He stood for what he believe in. You on the other are enjoying life in a secular set-up yet are living in religious utopia.

Actually he was doing tarhaar and teezoona all the way to the Kabul Airport until Dostum blocked his way (appropriate since Dostum was once his henchman in brutalizing the populace). Hardly standing.

Nice try with the canard though. Classic Awami Secularist Militant motif: replace the basic argument, i.e. that you are imperial prostitutes twice over, with a random non sequitor argument.

Funny how when Najib got abandoned like a used piece of trash by Kabul that he decided to appeal to his supposed Western opponent in the NY Times for aid and support.

Yep, not walking ... rather riding his flatus to a coward's end but yet setting an example for a whole generation of mentally retarded conspiracy theorists.

In the developed world today, in the philosophy community, conventional religious theists (e.g. William Lane Craig) tend to be the laughing stock of the general community; the ultimate reason for this state of affairs, I think, is that Christianity has long since lost its beating heart: the sword against the heretic and the infidel. The Salafists and jihadists are ultimately the more efficacious and pragmatic people in preserving Islam, they are correct in that if you want to preserve Islam in the intellectual culture, you have to use the sword against the heretic and the infidel otherwise you will inexorably come to that state of affairs that the great historian and philosopher Will Durant, who was known for his panoramic view of history (he wrote a magnificent uncompleted many volume work on western history), referred to as "that inevitable stage in civilization where intellectual history takes on the character of a conflict between science and religion".

Today, it is no longer philosophy that the ideological jihad must be waged against but science and Im afraid that unlike against philosophy, that is one hopeless jihad for the scientific method, unlike sophistry and mere philosophical argumentation, is more or less undefeatable (as Ghazali would say, scientists have a penchant for atheism and blasphemy: the scientific academic community is overwhelmingly irreligious irrespective of the religiosity of their country, at least outside the Muslim world). In short my dear Islamic friends, Al-Ghazalis approach isn't going to work, if you want to preserve Islam in the intellectual community, you better preach for the sword against the heretic and infidel.

Dr Abdali seems to be obsessed by Dr. Najeeb and possessed by the jin of the soul of Dr Najeeb so every where he talks of Najeeb even in the topic about Ghazali!

Ghazali was against sword but at the same time against reason, science and Philosophy. His opposition to sword and inclination to mysticism is admirable but his discouragement of reason made Muslims slaves of Mullahs.

He brings Najibullah in to this, becuase he thinks by insulting a dead man, he will insult all the secularists and there ego.

Incorrect. Its because I derive joy from it.

Would that I were my militant secularist friend! And Najib was not made of fire like a djinni but some other being beyond the ken of man and djin (made of clay and fire respectively) as we have yet to define beings made of feces.

Rather, Najib simply serves the purpose since he is a modern embodiment of the failure of your type to use "the sword" to change a people (his own) he understood so very little.

The mullah is the least of your problems... for if Ghazali is against reason then you might as well adopt the title Ghazali-ite since nearly all your arguements rely on emotion as opposed to evidence, reason, and sound bases.

Perhaps your approach is to opposed Ghazali by being Ghazali in the irreligious sense?

According to the Quran, it is the state in which you die that you will judged by.

The people who killed Dr. Najib sheds light on who killed who.

One tried to build Afghanistan; had a great discerning capacity. The other was sent to destroy Afghanistan; no capacity of discernment.

I hope I have not offended anyone.

Incorrect, One though thimself smugly better than the rural people and thought he could force idiocy and heresy on them and the other basically gave him badal for the lives he took and the misery he inflicted.

                              salaam wrora jaana,

I do not think Dr Najib should have been killed by foreigners. If anything, Afghans should have killed him.

Moreover, I think near the end of his life, the last couple of years, he realized his mistakes.

                              He was human after all.

Now stop this roller-mills of lies and come out of the dark-cold world of brutality, violence, terror, and bigotry in which you are living and spoiling your good-sense whatever little amount there may be left in you. You cannot compare a modern progressive constructive leaders with the apes the followers of one-eyed Mullah.
