Badlun you are leading your life through arrogance by picking and choosing what you want from Islam to suit your materialistic lust and selfish desires, just because you find some entertainment in something it doesn't make it permissible, your outlook defeats the object of controlling ones will and the concept of Nafs. like i said your all over the place, your not sure whether you are a Muslim or a Kafir so you take bits from each, but even then you are not at peace with your soul - your activity log on PF proves this.

Make your own laws up and lead your life through ignorance so you can eat Haraam food and listen to Music but just remember one thing: Allah doesn't need you - you need Allah.

what about these hadiths and the arguments at the end that music as such is not haram but halal.

Volume 2, Book 15, Number 103:

Narrated 'Urwa on the authority of 'Aisha:

On the days of Mina, (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) Abu Bakr came to her while two young girls were beating the tambourine and the Prophet was lying covered with his clothes. Abu Bakr scolded them and the Prophet uncovered his face and said to Abu Bakr, "Leave them, for these days are the days of 'Id and the days of Mina." 'Aisha further said, "Once the Prophet was screening me and I was watching the display of black slaves in the Mosque and ('Umar) scolded them. The Prophet said, 'Leave them. O Bani Arfida! (carry on), you are safe (protected)'."

Volume 2, Book 15, Number 72:

Narrated Aisha:

Abu Bakr came to my house while two small Ansari girls were singing beside me the stories of the Ansar concerning the Day of Buath. And they were not singers. Abu Bakr said protestingly, "Musical instruments of Satan in the house of Allah's Apostle !" It happened on the 'Id day and Allah's Apostle said, "O Abu Bakr! There is an 'Id for every nation and this is our 'Id."

There are many events where music was played in the presence of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and he didnt forbid it. As the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) cannot allow a haram thing in his presence, so music is not haram (according to those scholars). . On some occasions, when some Sahabi tried to stop someone from playing music, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) asked them to continue with their music. This kind of acceptance was not possible for a haram act . . At some marriage occasions the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ordered Sahaba to play some music and said that the difference between a marriage and zina is music (which serves as an announcement of that marriage).
Music is Halal & Allowed in Islam[ Sahih Bukhari & Muslim Hadith]

There are numerous ahadeeth that refer to the use of music, but all have to be verified as correct by the scholars before they can be used as proof. The great scholar, Ibn Hazm, says about the topic of Music in Islam “All that is reported on this topic is false and fabricated.”
Music: Halal or Haram?

Here is a very good article proving that ,music is halal. can you write to refute the arguments there?

Is Music Halal in Islam ?

Here is a fitting rejoinder to those extremist scholars who declare music to be unislamic – From an Islamic standpoint
Music is Halal By Default…You Need Evidence For Its Prohibition

Your research on music videos shows influence on young people especially girls and their sexual response. However this can be a positive influence and apparently nothing bad appears there. Now a days men are also presented as dancers and men physical beauty is part of such videos so only women cannot complain of being sexual objects.

For me sex is not something bad. Safe sex can be the highest moment of physical pleasure and spiritual happiness. If music promotes sexual growth then it is another contribution of music. Sex should no more be a taboo but a genuine human urge and need.

those ahadith are talking about the permissibility of daff, which no one disagrees upon except if it is permissible for both men and women.

Why should he need to prove the strength of his beliefs to you. typical apostate mentality, Muslims don't owe you any proofs or any sort of explanations.

Thats why infantile Muslims debate what foot one should enter masjid with while adult Westerners gave us the enlightenment and the industrial revolution

actually atheists like you are the most illogical people in the world. They believe the whole entire universe, from the macro to the micro aspects came about by itself.

Yeah that is really logical.

If you want to be all grown up then speak with respect in your path to validating beliefs, grown ups don't resort to name calling, so don't give us your nonsense about discussing and debating Islam as though you are actually interested in learning or hearing anything other than what you want to hear, because if you were really interested in an open minded discussion you would put your pride to the side and be ask questions instead of regurgitating patronizing quotes to get your point across.

adult westerners gave you enlightenment? by kicking your ass back to the stone age and destroying the populations of three continents and nuking the crap out third world peoples, mass genocides of women and children for world dominance - what a ridiculous sense of enlightenment . By the way the world is much older than the industrial revolution.

Your next homework assignment is to re-read the article as the whole discussion by the said authors is regarding the negative impact and implications of particular types of pop music and various contributors to female self asteem. You appear to have read "in between the lines" as you often do and imposed militant secularist ideology into the scientific study. Note that you are also contradicting your prior stance regarding age of sexual activity initiation.

great come back, typical of the atheist to downplay his oppositions arguments when he has no argument. It is double when the atheist is a pashtun.
