  • Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist? [Quran 5:91]

    • "Or do you suppose you will enter paradise without there having happened to you the likes of what happened to those who passed away before you? Misery and distress befell them, and they were so shaken that the messenger and those who believed with him said, "When will God's help come?" Ah, but the help of God is near!" [Surah Baqarah (2: 214)]

      • Lo! Those who devour the wealth of orphans wrongfully, they do but swallow fire
into their bellies, and they will be exposed to burning flame.

        -Surat Al Nisa, Verse 10

        ---
To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their
        own inclinations and desires

            • O ye who believe! let not some men among you laugh at others: it may be that
the (latter) are better than the (former): nor let some women laugh at others: it
may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor defame nor be sarcastic
to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name
connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who
do not desist are (Indeed) doing wrong

              • O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allâh, even
though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor,
Allâh is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your
hearts), lest you avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it,
verily, Allâh is Ever Well¬Acquainted with what you do.

                  do good.

                  • The life of this world is alluring to those who reject faith, and they scoff at those
                    who believe. But the righteous will be above them on the Day of Resurrection;
for Allah bestows His abundance without measures on whom He will.

                      • O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, indeed some suspicions are sins. And
spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of
his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allâh. Verily,
Allâh is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful.

                          • The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from
the more serious things), Until ye visit the graves. But nay, ye soon shall know
(the reality). Again, ye soon shall know! Nay, were ye to know with certainty of
mind, (Ye would beware!) Ye shall certainly see Hell Fire! Again, ye shall see it
                            with certainty of sight!

                              • If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between
them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight
ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of
Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair:
for Allah loves those who are fair (and just).
