Egypt bans 55,000 mosque preachers in crackdown on Islamists
    The Washington Times
Egyptian officials will bar 55,000 unlicensed clerics from preaching in mosques in the latest move against supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi, the minister of religious endowments said on Tuesday, as Reuters reported.
Egypt's army has been cracking down on Mr. Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood since it toppled him July 3.
Minister of Endowments Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa said the clerics "were considered to be fundamentalist and a threat to the Egypt's security," Reuters reported.
The ban is meant to spread a moderate message of Islam.
"The decision is only meant to legalize the preaching process during Fridays' mass prayers and make only those authorized to do it, do it," Mr. Gomaa told Reuters.
Egyptian authorities consider the Brotherhood a terrorist group, and discussions are underway about the possibility of banning it, Reuters said.

This is a very good lesson for Afghanistan and Pakistan as well as Yemen, Somalia, Mali and other Islamists infested countries.

Bring Mullah in control and tell him that your role is limited only to mosque. Pay him being an employee of the state and then he will say what the state will tell him or what Islam will tell him. Islam tells him about the faith and ethics which state will never oppose and thus there will be calm and peace in Muslim world.

Egypt is not only for Ikhwans. It is also for the secularists. Ikhwans should be first Egyptians then they will be respected not banned.

This Egypt experience is really worth studying for other Muslim countries. Egypt will be another model after Turkey.

karma would be if the brotherhood had killed thousands of protestors, arrested the leaders of their opposition, banned all anti brotherhood media, and banned anyone who preached secularism or christianity. none of which they did when they were in power.

the real "karma" will be when a brave soul turns sisi into another sadat.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Anyone misguided by Allah has no guide. They will receive punishment in the life of this world and the punishment of the Hereafter is harsher still. They have no defender against Allah. (Surat ar-Ra'd, 33-34)

33 and 34 of the thunder are

              33. Is then He who standeth over every soul (and knoweth) all that it doth, (like any others)? And yet they ascribe partners to Allah. Say: "But name them! is it that ye will inform Him of something he knoweth not on earth, or is it (just) a show of words?" Nay! to those who believe not, their pretence seems pleasing, but they are kept back (thereby) from the path. And those whom Allah leaves to stray, no one can guide.

              34. For them is a penalty in the life of this world, but harder, truly, is the penalty of the Hereafter: and defender have they none against Allah.

Badlun, Khostai and their type are no different than the extreme al qaeda types. They try to rationalize the murder and oppression of muslims and twist the scripture to their own desires. Their ideology is shunned in afghanistan and even foreign occupation which they support won't change that.

misguidance, apostasy etc is indeed a horrible punishment and humiliation.

Everyime we see how misguided these people are we should remind ourselves how we are blessed not to be one of them.
