If you originally belong to swat and have resided there for years and know the mindset of the two people of swat that you are not.
The river swat divides the people of swat. The people living on the right side of the river I mean from Barikot to Mingora, khwazakhela to Kalam are considered to be very Nobel, humble, descent and gentle people. The people living on the other side of the river from Kabal, matta, to sakhra are considered to be rascal type, ill mannered, anti social people.
We people don't establish our relations with them because we don't consider them as good people no matter how big family they are from.
The reason for this mentality is that they have been under the feudal and khanism system and they have been oppressed for decades.
But again I would say that time has changed now and changing. Education, globalization and Islamic teachings have changed the minds of the people.

I am from Swat. And yes in Bar Swat or what you call to the right of River Swat, it exists in extreme form but in lower and left of the River Swat it exists to a varying degree as well not as ugly as Bar Swat though.

Its not bar swat kuz swat but the people living on the right side of the river and people living on the left side of the river. From Barikot, mingora, charbagh, khwazakhela, madyan bahrain to kalam lies on the right side of the river.
Kabal, matta and its outskirts, upto sakhra is considered left side of the river.
Big difference between these two people.
If you remember when Hindus in India ruined the Babri mosque in India, some guys from matta came to our village and tried to demolish the dharamsaal (where hidus burn their corp). Our people beaten those guys and they fled away, they now call us hindus lol because we defended hindus' property and also we have hindus in our village have good relations with them.
