Suppose someone who believes in God and wants to do good at heart but can't help doing bad things because that is his nature; he is a hypocrite sometimes.
He isn't compatible with Islam, i.e. he keeps breaking rules and doing haraam things but nonetheless, he truly believes.
This man who has never fasted in his life, never prays formally, is always ritually impure, is arrogant, selfish and self-centered; unable to care for others, drinks on occaision (though avoids it as much as he can), steals, lies, cheats, commits adultery, does not respect anyone, is incapable of love and emotion and uses words from the Qur`an to suit his own preference.
He is not a clean man and has committed many crimes ranging from peddling drugs to kidnapping, despite young age.
He is aware of his actions and knows that he will be held accountable for them but does not care, as he is only interested in the present.
Despite all he does, he has an undying belief in God and does not want to leave Islam, even though he thinks it is better to do so than to tarnish the name of Islam with his actions.
Now, my question is:
Should this man be removed from the fold of Islam, resulting in his being dubbed an apostate and a subsequent death penalty?
(You are accountable for killing him in this case since you labelled him "kharej-az-din"; a foreigner to Islam.)
OR
Should he be accepted for who he is as Allah has made him too? (Think carefully)
Remember that this man may one day be of great use to the Muslim nation as he is a man of many talents.
