If I were you, I wouldn't say that 'cause, while you don't know my inner thoughts and feelings and motives, God does. So only God would know whether I'm joking, when I'm joking, and what my "jokes" actually mean. Ka sanga, wror gula?

This is not just a very-well written article but it's one that's essential, needed.

Oh and Qrratugai, how long do you think before people queue up in this thread to say that Mr. Paracha is jealous of Zakir Naik?
      LOL
I didnt say exactly that Qrratugai is jealous of Zakir naik, i said her behaviour is like that of an unknown person jealous from a famous celebrity, if she is jealous, then it doesnt suit to unknown person like her..........i.e to be jealous from a recognized celebrity, you should have some status and place in his field. forexample i cant be jealous from achievements of Imran Khan in cricket when i do not play cricket at all or i am weak in the game. So her mocking of zakir naik and "jealousy" was totally unacceptable and rediculous. She should first achieve some thing then her jealousy from zakir naik will feel acceptable and meaningful to common people like us.

Malgariya, why? I am a simple, common, rough, stupid and dumb person. How does that take away my right to criticize Zakir Naik? Why can't I learn something by criticizing/discussing/debating some or all of his views?
Are you well-versed in biology or anthropology that you contradict Charles Darwin?
Are you well-versed in social sciences that you contradict Karl Marx?
What are your 'achievements' that you disagree with XYZ, ABC, 123?

The right wing concepts, journalists, scholars , historians, poets etc are intentionally projected and encouraged in Pakistan by the establishment to give an artificial justification to Pakistanis and to the world that Pakistan is a so called Islamic state. Hence you have JUMAT ISLAMI,JUI,TABLEEGHI JUMAT and a lot of other terrorist organisations and persons considered as the guardians of faith of Muslims in Pakistan. Once masses are deceived successfully then it is easy to justify the importance of Pakistan military, justification of their budget and India phobia.

No wonder even Pakistan India cricket match is the most important social and religeous activity for Pakistanis as it instills hatred of India in the hearts and minds of this hypnotised Pakistani nation to justify the creation of British-planned Pakistan.

If the Pakistanis do not like Faiz, Faraz, Habibb Jalib, Manto, Lal Khan, Ghani Khan, Akhter Mengal, Mahmood Khan Achakzai etc then this is nothing strange.

            Thanks Shlombay

I am already a fan of your Kandahari Pashto thread. I have this topic in mind. There are a lot of analysts which are of the opinion that the balkanisation of Pakistan is inevitbale. We will discuss it in a thread. I will integrate my thoughts.

Right now its so damn hot here in Peshawar and the power might go off.

I, and I am not alone, believe that some sort of re-drawing of the boundaries in South/Central Asia to reflect the geo-strategic dynamics is the only possible solution for peace and stability in S,C Asia.

"jokes" about hell ... I dont think we are allowed that liberty, anyways to each his own

Nadir Shah, That is not my interpretation of life, i dont believe humans are capable of creating hell for anyone..they are doing a remarkable job at reserving some first class seats in it though

                      Karachi pashtun

Do you know that Iqbal who is the accused dreamer of Pakistan has much more liberal view than our female intellectual friend Qrratugai.

Read the Reconstruction of Religeous thought in Islam.

He considers Hell and Heaven as mental states.

Oh, absolutely! I couldn't agree more. The question is . . . who defines those limits for us? Certainly not God, since God hasn't said we can't joke about hell, now, has He? And what's wrong with telling jokes about hell?

Don't compare God to us weak humans, mara. God is all-powerful. Just because we don't like it when people make jokes about us or, say, the dolls that we make or our houses, doesn't mean God can't handle jokes made about Hell/Heaven either.

                        It's all good, don't worry!

Indeed! I love, love, LOVE Iqbal and his Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam! The guy was a genius! Imagine what Pakistan, or even a portion of the Muslim world, would be like today if we had more of Iqbal.... I mourn the (physical) mortality of intellectuals like him every night . . . .

Oh, and ... wait till you hear my views on heaven and hell
