I agree with you that #ISI is part of the problem but I will say it is definitely not the whole part of the problem. And plus all this ISI did this or that is wild speculation. How do we know what they did? We liberals love to put the blame squarely for everything that has gone wrong today on Zia Ul Haq, the ISI and the armies doorstep.

For example Zia wasn't the only Islamist in town. What about Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto who declared all Ahmadi's kaffir? They couldn't even come to offices you know? He banned drinking for everyone... that wasn't even done during Zia's time when minorities at least had the right to drink... why should our beliefs be imposed on others right?

This is collectively our fault. The politicians severe corruption is used as an excuse by each general to take power. I mean something must be wrong with the kind of democracy we have which caused 80% of populace to give confidence vote to Musharraf in his first year?

I am sure if the army isn't around we will just stand naked and let everyone do us. But of course we must accept its failures too. We must accept its failure to defend Pak in 71, we must accept its failure in Siachen conflict where we lost huge swathes of territory to India. We must acknowledge that its presence in Balochistan, East Pakistan and recently in FATA & KP has worsened the situation rather than improve it. Not a single enemy commander has been slain.

The only question is, is there anyone else to defend Pakistan then?

Is pakistan being really defended? I mean there are enemies already with in the country killing so many innocent people. Almost all the world terrorists come to pakistan for training, why is the army not doing any thing to kick them out? why are they allowing all the criminals from the world to come to pakistan and set up a base there? I dont call this defense, sorry. Its either pure stupidity or pure incompetency. To me the army and ISI are totally useless, they are not defending the country, they breaking it further and further. I personally dont think they can even fight a war any more, the only thing saving pakistan right now are the nuclear weapons it has, not the army, not the ISI

you can't compare Pakistan to Australia. Buying a slushy across the street is not same as shoping there. It's not like there hasn't been 100 cases of children being kidnaped and stuffed with drugs, sold off or butchered for their body organs for over 30 years to say the least.
Protecting a child is a parent's first responsibility. If you don't have the time for it then don't have children.

Errr... actually there are 30 Million Punjabis in India too... so I have no understanding of where your logic actually from.

But you have displayed the average mindset of the average racist who somehow blames the Pakistani... the Punjabi specifically for all the problems.
This 'race' problem and the idea that only our race is good in our countries, in this case Pashtuns it makes it harder for us to develop our lands.

Punjabis are not bad people. It is only their (Pakistani Punjabi) ruling classes that live in fairy tale worlds...like they (ruling classes) are the "inheritors" of the Muslim rulers of South Asia etc etc. That is what they have been taught from childhood. Most of those ruling classes are converted from Hindus no doubt about it and they were not the foreign rulers, yet they live in fairy tale worlds (often when they meet Arabs they will say "my ancestors came from Damascus..Baghdad...blah blah" upon hearing which Arabs I have seen usually frown) and that (trying to be the new rulers) drives what they do..which is to keep dislike for India...and remember Pakistan is "an army with a country" rather than country with an army..that army thrives on having a few enemies so that they can keep their privileges.

There are more like 60+ million Punjabis in India. Many of them live outside Punjab. Plus there are other people closely related to Punjabis living in various north western states of India..as far as Madhya Pradesh where you have jats, gujjars, thakurs, rajputs etc.
