  • Christian girl, 12, kidnapped, beaten and raped for eight months until she converted

A 12-year-old Christian girl was kidnapped and repeatedly raped for eight months in Pakistan by a man who then falsified marriage documents with her, it was claimed today.
The girl was lured on a shopping trip in Lahore by a friend, before she was driven 120 miles to Tandianwalla and raped by the friend's uncle in January this year.
    Two days later, she

Sad. These incidents make a mockery of the system we are following today.

The government has miserably failed in protecting its citizens. If we fail in providing
          Justice
          Security
          Law and Order

to our citizens how can we progress? Absolutely pathetic act.

This isn't secularism friend. How is it secularism when Shezan is nearly banned for the owners being Ahmadi. How is it secularism when we have the blasphemy law? How is it secularism when the hudood ordinance exists. All these laws are Mullah-terrorist made laws in nature. You might love these laws actually. Pakistan is heaven for the Mullah like yourself. But there are many misconceptions.

Pakistanis are bred to view Afghans as slaves (kind of true when you look at how we don't want afghanistan to have Indian embassies. Isn't it for Afghans to decide?), Afghans on the other hand are born and bred to hate Pakistan and call them UnIslamic all the time (we see this on this forum).

In essence we have failed to create an Islamic system despite 60 years.

I think someone made an excellent post on the topic. It was either Barakzai or one of the admins. Pakistan has essentially failed to be an Islamic Republic despite trying to impose Islam. On the other hand it is not secular either.

The problem with imposing Islam is that one person will say everyone should have a beard. Another will say they should not. One will say music only with Islamic instruments is allowed. Others will say it is not allowed at all. So no one knows whose Islam to impose.

There are reasons I support secularism. Its not out of hatred for Islam. Rather its to safeguard Islam from intolerance.

Religious extremism + Poverty + Illiteracy + No security + No justice + Ethnic problems + Corruption = Pakistan

^ when a country has all that in extreme levels, there is no hope. I am just wondering how can a country get out of this mess? I dont think there is a way to be honest.

unless she a prostitute, in which case its a simple matter of shop lifting.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

true, but why are the muslim imams so quiet when these crimes happen? surely they could at least speak up a bit. Their silence on these sort of crimes is the biggest problem.

Pakistan is a secular state? Wow, really? Then I must've been living on Mars all this time.

And why are the same British laws working so well in Canada, Britain, Australia and India?

The Objective Resolution of 1949 ensured that Pakistan would be an Islamic Republic. No law shall be enacted that is repugnant to the Quran or Sunnah.

Incidentally, Jinnah wanted a secular state. However, after his death, his cronies, who lacked any sort of imagination or capability to rule, backtracked on their "great leader's" promises and gave into the demands of the jahil mullahs of Pakistan and came up with a strange concoction of republicanism, federationism and Islam. To date, Pakistan is neither a republic or a federation, nor is it an Islamic state. And it's even further away from anything resembling a secular state.
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".
