  • A question from Muslim women

As we know, in Islam it is allowed for a man to have physical relations with slave women. Such women can be acquired in two ways according to Islamic Sharia; (1) daughters, sisters, wives, mother of the fallen enemy can be captured and made slave (2) such women can be bought/purchased e.g. individually or from a slave market.

Such women are called "right-hand possession" or "property". Not only the immediate owner or master has a right (of "physical relation" to use a decent word for an abhorrent act) over her but also his father and grand-father.

What would be your reaction if for example today your father, brother, son or husband buys a slave woman and keeps her for sensual purposes? There are many parts of the world where there is extreme poverty and from where women can be bought.

Personally, I find it extremely detestable. Belonging to Al-Ghamidi School of thought (and a pantheist/mystic) , I think such acts/rules should immediately be revoked/forbidden and replaced with universal human rights.

if they buy a slave of any type or gender, they are disowned.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

          Hi DaMalakandGhar,

Slavery is not permissible in the Baha'i Faith.

Personally if I knew a person who was trying to enslave another I would fight with them if it wasn't possible to bring them to desist through reason alone.

They caught a Peshawarite who had forced a Filipino woman to stay with him in Peshawar all those years against her will getting raped over and over again. I think that probably sounds good to some of our Taliban friends here...

I mean of course after you're married... then you can do anything to your wife I guess. Would you Taliban shed some light on this? Is it true. Because I have head an Islamist say you can do whatever you want with your wife. The Prophet beat Aisha once. Only once but to the Islamist that probably means he can beat her silly whenever he likes.

You are telling a lie against the Prophet of God.

“Aisha reported that Allah's Messenger, may Allah bless him, never beat anyone with his hand, neither a woman nor a servant, but only, in the case when he had been fighting in the cause of Allah …” (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 4296)

The hadith you are referring to derives from Muslim and was in an instance where Aisha trailed the Prophet in the dark and she told him about it. He gave her a sternal push that she said pained her. The word used for beat in Arabic is dharab and the word in that hadith you are possibly referring to is the equivalent of the Pashto words: Jetkaa; Dekaa; and Telaa wahaal; not beat

I think this is a major issue with your views. You and MalakandGhar may privately have admiration for Islam somewhere but in your zest to debate and argue you dont judiciously think through what you write. Where this a discussion of law systems elsewhere or the ideologies of others, you would quickly jump to their defense and demand evidence. The same standard of justice should be used for our Prophet as you demand for Salman Taseer.

I am not insulting Islam. Just talking about the Taliban mentality. These are the qoute's I guess.

Beat your wife if she is insolent but do not beat her like a slave-girl...1.0142
                  فَلَهَدَنِي فِي صَدْرِي لَهْدَةً أَوْجَعَتْنِي
““He struck me [hard] on the chest which caused me pain.”
Ayesha Radi Allah Hu Anha related this herself. Of course the proper interpretation for this for our mind would be he pushed his wife... but to the terrorist's Jihadi mind everything is seen with a red sheen I guess.

I wasn't insulting Islam. I didn't expect you to take offense at this Barakzai or anyone else because I was referring to the Talibani mindset.

I have done community work and I took part in a campaign to stop violence on women and with the help of police we got addresses of houses where women were abused. Our team went to a house and when it came to the doorstep the husband, an Islamist with big beard and everything locked his wife up and claimed "in Islam a husband can do anything with his woman." There was even blood on the floor. He probably heard from somewhere our team was coming. So its natural to assume Taliban would have same logic.

Of course we know its not allowed in Islam but Islam becomes a tool and they use Islam for their own personal goals and objectives. Just like suicide bombing. Here is what the Quran says about suicide:

It was narrated on the authority of Abu-Hurayrah that the Prophet , said that whoever throws himself from a mountain on purpose and kills himself, will be in Hell, falling down into it and abiding therein forever; and whoever drinks poison and kills himself with it, will be carrying that poison in his hand and drinking it in Hell wherein he would dwell for eternity; and whoever kills himself with an iron weapon, will be carrying that weapon in his hand and stabbing his abdomen with it in Hell, wherein he would dwell for eternity. [Muslim]

But the Taliban justify it. Its how the Taliban mind works. I was just referring to their mindset. Some Talibani members here told me in this Jihad they may even have to kill their family. Check in the 'policeman who killed fellow officers' thread and you will be surprised by the responses. So I was applying the same logic.

Barakzai don't take offense at my posts. I only talk about the Taliban mindset. These aren't my opinions on Islam which is a beautiful Religion Masha'Allah!

I am proud to follow a liberal Islam which guards my freedom and dignity. I don't understand why all the hatred is being directed at me. Just because I support Secularism? We need to get it in our heads that supporting the concept of Secularism does not make us Anti-Islamic. They are not incompatible concepts. It will take time for that mindset to develop I guess.

This is fantastic. I never had the chance to hear Pakistanis before. Now I know what is the root of all evil in this part of the world. Who is responsible for the bloodshed of Pashtuns.

As someone who is completely alien to the current conflict, who is neither a Pashtun, nor a Pakistani, nor an Arab, nor a Tajik, nor a Uzbek, nor a Hazara, nor an American, I can say clearly that the main problem of the Pashtuns are the Pakistanis traitors apostates and the people like you who support them.

I have only one hope, and it is that Talibans take over Pakistan and destroy your nuclear weapons and India invades this fake country created by your British masters.

You are by far the worst traitors to Islam, even worse than Saudis and I can only hope that your country which is the worst of all muslim countries, will soon disapear from the face of this planet.

Honnor kilings, Salman Rushdie, burning the faces of women with acid, fortunetellers everywhere... this is the real face of Porkistan.

Allah SWT has said himself :

You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the latter day befriending those who act in opposition to Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts He has impressed faith, and whom He has strengthened with an inspiration from Him: and He will cause them to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him these are Allah's party: now surely the party of Allah are the successful ones.
                    —Qur'an sura 58, Al-Mujadila, ayah 22

Pakistanis are the most degenerate, untrustworthy, slave of the Brits people I've ever met.

I used to think that Pakistani Talibans are terrorists but when I see what is the Paki mindset, I understand many things, especially why there is all this terrorism in your country.

May Allah SWT punish this English dominion called Pakistan and may He protect the righteous muslims who are forced to live this hellshole.

I think Al Hanif realizes that the way to win points with Pashtuns is to use the "Pakistan" card because he is clearly a Taliban supporter and that is loathed by most Pashtuns.

Good attempt Al Hanif; but much like your fellow Wahhabists, saying you're against Saudi Arabia but yet following their interpretations and doctrines is sort of disingenuous. In the same light saying you're against Pakistan but supporting their stooges such as the Taliban sort of falls flat as well.
