Shi'a in Swat?

The thing is. this subject is discussed in early discussions. As the prophet muhammad saww said in an authentic hadith. The Muslims will divide into 73 sects. And all of them are under the threat of hell-fire because they have deviated. Except one. And that's the sect that is upon that on which the prophet muhammad saww and his companions were on.Originally posted by osho View PostSo if tehre are no shias in swat all the Yousafzai and Khattaks of Swat will go to paradise inspite of the fact that swat has many taliban who used to hang innocent people in public places.......
What if a shia is an honest, dutiful, hard working good human being then he or she being shia will have to go to jahanam and a salafi extremist being sunni he or she doeas any thing wrong but being salafi sunni will go to janat
what a strange logic
Some drama queens might go around and say well this means that Sunnis consider all Shi'tes as kuffar. Which is not true. Ahmadis and Ismailis are kuffar.
But most shi'ites are just extremely misguided and misinformed. They claim to believe in Allah and accept the prophet-hood of muhammad saww. But they say that Qur'an was corrupted and they claim that their 12 imaams were infallible and thus had divine attributes.
In this respect, they are extremely misguided. And they are like any other Muslim who is misguided in need of guidance.
But for as far as being honest and upright. In Islam we do not believe to know who will go to hell and who will go to heaven. That's up to allah. All we know is which actions and statements are major sins and can make you end up in hell.
So if a person is misguided, and yet based on the limited knowledge he or she has, Allah will judge that person as Allah sees it fit.
But since there is guidance and correct knowledge of the religion, we should all strive to follow it and practice it.
If we are going to tolerate seeing fellow Muslims or even non-Muslims worshiping other than Allah and we sit and stare at them claiming we should "respect" them we will be committing a sin. Because it is obligatory upon us to spread the correct teaching of monotheism and try to confront those who are upon falsehood and to convey the true message of Islam. If we fail, then so be it. But Allah has ordered us to spread the correct religion. We can't just allow others to destroy themselves. If we have the knowledge we mus spread it. This is after all, the duty of a Muslim. Command the good and prevent the evil.
We should show care and sympathy for fellow human beings and try to save them from hell fire. If it is not within our powers, at least what we can do is convey the message.
At the end of day, allah guides whom he wills and misguides whom he wills. All we have to do is convey the message.[SIZE="4"][B][CENTER][URL="www.quranawsunnat.com"]www.quranawsunnat.com

Kindly explain to your grandfather that those Shi`is whose beliefs do not constitute kufr are not considered kafir. Those whose beliefs constitute kufr are certain minority sects among the Shi`a.Originally posted by Qrratugai View PostAnd, according to my grandfather, "The Taliban are good because they're killing Shiites the heretics, the kuffar of Swat!"

No I am not going by what I hear or told. I am from Swat, lived all my 50 years of life here in Swat, know all Sikh families here, attended all their funeral, engaged with them in business. Hindus used to be living here, but that was before partition. Now all what remains in Swat and Buner is Sikh Community.Originally posted by Qrratugai View PostAre you from Swat? You shouldn't go by what you hear or what you're told; you need to actually go to Swat and check for yourself.
Hindus are for sure there. The Shiites may be wiped out by now, though, poor folks. May Allah Subhanahu wa ta'aala have mercy on the souls of those who have been butchered, and may Allah (SWT) bless the ones who are still alive. Aameen.[COLOR="Purple"][FONT="Century Gothic"]So long as there is the earth and the heavens;

So long as there is life in the world;
So long as a single Afghan breathes;
There will be this Afghanistan.

Long live the Republic.
Forever there be our national unity

My village is quite near to Swat but is not actually in Swat but rather Mardan, I have many friends and family living in Swat as well. I have to say, I have uptil now never ever heard of any Shias in Swat!!! so I would agree with the following:
From what I know it is mostly Yusufzai and some Khattak.Originally posted by Millatpal Noorzai View PostI don't think there are any Shias in Swat.
Swat mostly comprises of Yousafzai,Khattak,Gujjar
I agree, I think these would be the only Shias if any, there.Originally posted by Khan Gul View PostThere are definitely no Shias in Swat now. Exceptions are those few who are here in Swat on Govt. assignments.

So what if there is.. you're gonna go wipe them out? =P
Don't worry. That's what the Taliban are for, so-called-"Pashtun" Nazis, massacring anything that has ching-chong eyes, colored nails, no beard growth or different (and different in this case is defined as non-Wahabi) beliefs.
We are going places.

I agree with this. The kind of people among Shias who have beliefs that openly contradict Islam are actually a very small minority.
Now I am not here to condone or condemn the Shia faith since it is a subject for the Islamic scholars, but I know this,
if they believe in all the articles of faith, accept Hazrat Muhammad PBUH as the Last Prophet, and do not have any beliefs that openly or in any way contradict Quran or Sahih Hadith then, I would call them Muslims.
And such people among the Shia are many many.

I came across a few edicts or decrees of the Kabul Shura of the erstwhile Punjab proxy militia Taliban rule. If I get time, I will share them. Some of the things they contain are extremely funny. eg
9. To prevent the British and American hairstyle. People with long hair should be arrested and taken to the religious Polics department to shave their hair. The criminal has to pay the barber.
General Presidency of the Amr Bil Maruf, Kabul (1996).
What kind of a suffocating Dar ul Islam do these people envision? What shall we do with the concept of "Amr bil Marouf"?
On a more serious note. Some people are plain and simple Taliban apologists. Others, for reasons best known to them though I guess they want to be polite or they are still traumatized by some childhood "Azab ye Qabr" story, tend to propagate the view that the Taliban and the extremists have held the Koran or Islam hostage. I have a very simple question:
Christianity was the premier world intellectual, philosophical, cultural, political, diplomatic and moral force from the last days of Paganism in the Roman Empire to the 16th Century. The Church was the most oppressive and reactionary establishment imaginable. Even then we cannot find any ideology as in-humane and as non-humanist as the puritan Islamic creed in the annals of Christian history. Why is that so?

Not aware of Shiites in Swat. Would concur with others that there is a Shia presence in Parichinaar - also in pockets in Waziristan?
Hindus (and Sikhs) you will find in Swat, Buner and the surrounding areas up to Parichinaar. I have met Hindus in Barikot, Mingora and in Buner outside Pir Baba.
It made interesting news for Al Jazeera and the like when Sikhs and Hindus fled Swat last year following the war. I guess what bothered me was how the news stories were framed so that we were expected to feel sorry a particular community because they were a minority religion, when in fact the Swat War affected everyone.

I can confirm there is no Shias in Waziristan. Waziristan is 100 percent Sunni.Originally posted by tor_khan View PostNot aware of Shiites in Swat. Would concur with others that there is a Shia presence in Parichinaar - also in pockets in Waziristan?

Well that doesnt proves that natives are shias. Pakistan Army doesn't make deployment on basis of sects so their temporary presence doesn't amount to presence of shias in general.
