He actually gives an example of how (and why) Naik quotes something totally out of context to suit his own purpose. This is very typical of Zakir Naik. No one in his audience ever seems to bother verifying what he shoves down their throats. It's really sad.
Pir Rokhan is my holy father, oh hallowed be his name. I am his disciple. I eat his flesh and drink his blood so that I may be saved. He lets me nibble.

Here's an interesting read, by the way. I've proxied it since the Pakistani government has blocked the page in its war on free speech.

Jasmine's voice is too pure to be heard in this worldly council.

Hmm did you read the response yourself?

Dr. Munir Munshey mentions that the liquid fluid in question is not sperm. That is something that puts him directly at odds with Zakir Naik.

By the way, I'm not in favor of the nincompoops at Answering-Islam. They're a plague themselves. The reason I posted that article was because it supported science in the place of poetry.

I beg to differ. I don't believe she posts any 'nonsense'. If she challenges the status quo positions of our system, that makes her a liberal, a force of inevitable change and not someone who spreads nonsense.

We hate American Judeo-Christian conservatives such as O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Bush, Lieberman and the entirety of the trailer park Baptist gangs yet we love and support our equivalents. Why?

              Lewanai Communist,

What ever you are your pir rokhan and qrratugai say is well refuted by Zakir Naik himself.

The truth is, you guys talk so much nonsense and spread garbage about Naik, and you do so not because you seriouly have an argument to counter him with. But because you hate to see a Muslim to be so successful in his daw'ah of Islam.

He is a hero of Islam and he gains more and more popularity for his good work. And Allah choose him as tool to spread his religion and he is serving his lord the way that it makes him to be an example for millions and millions of young muslims around the world.

I bet you guys burn with jealous filled with hatred and despise it to see people like him spreading Islam.

May allah reward zakir naik for his great effort and may allah grant him victory in his strive to spread Islam. And may allah burn his opponents and haters endlessly in jahanam.

^ Oh my, Sangar! Jealousy? Please, we're not in elementary -- or even high -- school anymore when life was all about who's better, who's more accomplished, who's got more friends, etc. We've grown up now ... most of us, anyway, I'd hope. So for you to think that we're jealous of Zakir Naik is rather silly, to say the least. (No, wait, it's much worse; I just can't find the word for it right now.)

But if it makes you happy thinking that this is about who's better than whom, who's spreading Islam more, who's converting more non-Muslims to Islam, or even who's more "successful," then so be it. I just think that's low thinking; why would I care about this? And you don't know anything about my professional life, so you wouldn't know who's more accomplished or successful to begin with.

But, anyway, that's not the point here. I still would like to attend one of his lectures one day and ask my questions and comment on his answers.

Sangar, I have nothing against Islam. In fact, I've found that despite not being able to believe in Islamic (or any other) theology, I still have an attachment to Muslims around the world. I have a bias towards Turkey in its dispute with Greece, I love to read about the Ottoman conquests, I support the Palestinians, etc, etc... It's because I recognize that with these people (and with you people), I share a 1500 year old common heritage. However, I believe that it is time now that we move on and embrace modernity instead of languishing continuously in the darkness and ignorance of religious myths and superstitions. I think the encouragement to move forward is a great service to Muslims and I believe that whatever Zakir Naik does influences people to look back and not forward and hence, he has a very detrimental effect on us as a people.

Please, I'm not an enemy or a hate-monger. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan wasn't an enemy either but he was wajibulqatl during his day.

There is a strong bias in your post. You are saying basically that Zakir Naik encourages people to look back instead of forward. This is not true. This sort of explains everything.

Zakir Naik is a modern, progressive and innovative figure in Islam. He might not be perfect and he might not be flawless. But he is a great man and he has done more for the spread of Islam than thousands of scholars of his age.

You are an attention-hungry person who is extremely arrogant and attacks anything viciously with allot of contempt for anything that is considered as valueble ny Muslims.

Therefore I think the most jealous person here are you. Since you would love to see yourself there on stage telling people how it is.

But since you are not, you launch vicious attacks against him because you can't stand to see a man 3 times older than you who has read more books than you have posted smilies on PF being the centre of attention and being admired for his knowledge and wisdom.

It does not surprise me in the slightest that Zakir Naik is the best Islam has to offer. What does the guy have except being supremely irrational and stupid?
                              Here are a few examples:

He thinks pork is forbidden because consuming pork makes a person 'baigharat' and a wife swaper.
He thinks Islamic barbaric punishments are just because a Jew agrees with him.
He would have us derive our morality from a 'ruffian' as he calls it.
He justifies polygamy by claiming that since women are more than men, the women that remain unmarried have a strong tendency towards prostitution.
He is also a sectarian hate monger.

Sangar malgariya, the state of Islam is evident from the fact that guys like Zaid Hamid and Zakir Naik are the prime intellectuals of the Islamic thought. The days when you could convert people by persecuting them are over.

                                Malgariya,

Physical presence in a community is not a pre-requisite in order to work for that community.
Secondly, the people of Swat do not represent the pinnacle of human intellect in the current situation. People believe in false ideologies and concepts and indulge in anti-human and anti-social behaviour. It is our responsibility to guide them to the right path according to what we believe in and what would lead them to a better future. If we contend ourselves with what people in general believe and we settle for the status quo, where then would be the force of life? Questioning stereotypes, theology, mores and taken-for-granted truths is the way human knowledge develops.
