I thought you said Islam doesnt mean Peace Abu Bakar, and why is a Muslim going to preach so freely in a Non Muslim Country. Hipocrasy is a dangerous disease.

      Kind Regards

I wish he'd come to my city. Oh how I LONG to expose his double standards to all of his audiences! Well, I can do that in many ways, but just by asking him questions in the question-answer sessions of his "lectures," and then commenting ON his answers, ahhhhhhh! Would be a dream come true.

It's a peace convention. And his channel promotes peace. Because Islam brings peace. But the word Islam does not mean peace. It means submission.

Aw come on. That's not "hate"

k, fine. Would "public dialogue" be the more preferred terminology, as opposed to ... umm... something like "asking him questions and then commenting on his answers in front of the audience"? Okay, fair enough.

The fact is, he is probably one of the greatest people spreading Islam across the world.

For a little girl on a public forum to say you can't wait to "expose his double standards" it is hilarious.

I mean, look at you. You just finished a few courses in your "islamic studies" and now you have the arrogance to post messages liek this on a public forum assuming that since you have such a high esteem of yourself, others might fall for it too.

But I think if you are in presence of a great person like dr Naik, you will most likely only embarrass yourself.

^ We've discussed him and his double standards on many threads here before, so it's pointless to start another debate on him.

But as far as I'm concerned, NO intelligent Muslim supports Zakir. Only people with a very weak understanding of Islam and their own selves are actually for him. So, yeah.

Oh, and I'm not interested in who spreads Islam and how. Anyone who falls for him is clearly not smart enough to actually find the holes in all of his arguments.

Saying no intelligent muslim support Naik means you call millions of muslims around the world stupid. How smart are you btw? And how strong is your understanding of Islam when you doubt the arguments in qur'an posed to you saying you consider Richard Dawkins more convincing. I mean, by making such statements you sort of claim to be a kaafir. So how can you say that they who support Naik are stupid and have a weak understanding of Islam?

                      I didn't say they're stupid.
I said: "No intelligent Muslim supports Zakir Naik." OR would ever fall for anything he says.

Take that to mean whatever you want, wror gula!

Sangar, with all due respect, Richard Dawkins holds as the truth hard empirical/tested/scientific data. On the other hand, Zakir Naik opposes that with Iron-age prose. What's worse is that Zakir Naik twists the meanings of those ambiguous verses to somehow incorporate the hard work of the scientists of the last one hundred years. However, Naik loses his credibility when he, despite being from a medical background, says stuff that's completely unscientific and his ignorant audience does not even quest that.

Among other things, he says that the evolution is just a "theory" despite the fact that in the scientific connotation, 'theory' denotes something that has tested and observed evidence for it and the word does not carry even remotely the same meaning as it does in its regular everyday use. For someone like me, that constitutes a lie.

There's a whole bunch of garbage that he sells as Quranic science to his flock of sheep. The verses he interprets so liberally can mean so many other possible things. He translates words in such ways that tend to fit his current theories. Where it's convenient, he translates 'thick liquid' as semen and where it's not, he translates it as embryo. Why don't you ask yourself this - if his 'evidence' was indeed so overtly obvious and unquestionable, why don't we see people accepting Islam in their millions right now? He debates duds and claims victories for Islam..... though still, Muslims are yet to make a scientific discovery and the clock has been ticking for well over 500 years......

Zakir Naik is nothing but an over-glorified creationist. Creationists are responsible for trying to halt scientific progress around the world and filling the brains of children with myths in the place for scientific (tested) truths.

As far as social issues are concerned, Naik is a cold-blooded Salafi. He believes apostates must be decapitated, he calls for gender segregation, he believes in stoning people to death if they have sex outside marriage, he believes men are superior to women, etc, etc... We in the urban centers watch Zakir Naik and listen to his medieval philosophies from the luxury of our air-conditioned living rooms but this is my open challenge to everyone here - you won't be able to last a month in the sort of Taliban world he envisions.

This is simply not true. You know well that many of the world greatest scientists were/are "creationists."

Scientific progress does not rely on the idea that human beings evolved from non-human organisms.

^ Levanee Zalmiya, you remind me of what Pir Rokhan said about Zakir Naik in another thread. Here, check it out when you have time

Based on authentic sources, this section comprises of multimedia, articles and discussions on the religion of Islam.

He actually gives an example of how (and why) Naik quotes something totally out of context to suit his own purpose. This is very typical of Zakir Naik. No one in his audience ever seems to bother verifying what he shoves down their throats. It's really sad.

Less than 5% of post-Darwin scientists are creationists. Prior to Darwin, there was no theory that could explain the abundance and origins of life and hence, many great minds did not question the story of creation. You must know however, that there were still many great minds that were deists and not creationist theists.

By the way, those same creationists want to halt stem-cell research for good, they think they have more rights over a woman's body than the woman herself, they want to completely eradicate a branch of modern medicine, they want us to believe that humans and dinosaurs coexisted and the list goes on.
