Why are you getting emotional son?

Can't debate me as an adult so you have to psychologically regress to this childish state?

    pathetic!

We're not debating at this point though; I already dspatched you several times, remember? Now we're just mocking you for being stupid to reinforce how dimwitted you are.

the fact you think any response automatically factors into a "debate" is definitely pathetic; at least your brain cells are functioning enough to be cognizant of that..

        There is no "we" son...

You are just trying to cry loud like a child who got his lolipop snatched from his hand.

It's obvious from the way you stated the question that even you couldn't decide what "educated" means so you had to add appendages to it - "enlightened/rational"...and I already put the root of each word in it's context.

        Still...

        You are just frustrated.

You are trying VERY hard to deceive your self.

If you were intellectually honest, you would have looked for the meaning of the word = EDUCATED...not "education".

And it maybe that you did look at the dictionary meaning of "educated"

        Definition of EDUCATED

        ed·u·cat·ed (j-ktd)
        adj.
        1. Having an education, especially one above the average.
        2.
        a. Showing evidence of schooling, training, or experience.
        b. Having or exhibiting cultivation; cultured: an educated manner.
        3. Based on a certain amount of experience or factual knowledge: an educated guess.
Still if you had ever taken a coarse on philosophy and given that type of rebuttal you would have received a D-.

A good paper would have started with the etymology of the word "education"

Etymologically, the word education is derived from the Latin ēducātiō (“a breeding, a bringing up, a rearing) from ēdūcō (“I educate, I train”) which is related to the homonym ēdūcō (“I lead forth, I take out; I raise up, I erect”) from ē- (“from, out of”) and dūcō (“I lead, I conduct”).
Even then if you follow the wiki page on Education 90% of it is on Schooling.

Still if you need to know more:

Public "Education" has become indoctrination and distraction - YouTube

        I am a realist.
But you are too happy in the abstract where you are more comfortable to hold contrary.

So when I am speaking, I mean what I say as I see it in the real world.

You and Toromana see the world as you wish to see it, not how it is.

This is the same toromana you were bashing on for months. Now that he is taking your side on here, you are all too happy to accept the same fool you had been slandering all this time with open arms. This goes to show that you also lack integrity.

I drop bombs of knowledge...and you just fart and laugh like a toddler.

The source you used specifically uses the term "education" to allude to the fact that actual education and some other variety being passed out is not the same thing

rather than lend support to your flagrantly wrong argument; it on only reinforces why it's wrong. Even your having to reach deep into latin roots, doesn't lend any support, to erect to bring up, to strengthen, to train. Not even remotely. You're trying to swim but keep drowning. The effed up part of this is we've been done with the debate two hours ago; I guess it's haunted you this much.

Two pages of tourettic babble, for nothing. Save your self respect if you have any left.

You're a realist? What's real about humans being made out of actual, literal clay. stop humiliating yourself Girlie. Yeah Miss, you drop "bombs of knowledge" ALL OF IT WRONG. Amazing stroke of brilliance using an allegory of farting like a todder; I mean that must be one of those bombs of knowledge coming out to lay waste. (sarcasm)

            Don't lose your way son...

The point of this thread was for you to make a distinction between the educated and the uneducated.

So according to you an educated person is anyone who has some knowledge and has the ability to use that to make a judgement call.

Now if we were to follow this line of reasoning, then why should you not trust a dishonest educated person?
that educated person may use his knowledge to take up a dishonest approach.

In the even that Khidr was in the Boat, as he got of the boat, he destroyed it. To moses it appeared that this was a dishonest act. Dishonest to who? Dishonest to the Boatsman.
The boatsman takes on passengers in trust that they will not harm him or his possession in return for some benefit to him (money). When he has lost his boat, he has lost his money.
What difference was there between the destruction that Khidr caused and the other ultimatum that Moses was unaware of? In the latter's case the boatsman wouldn't have had a boat to repair.

In this context we see that "educated" is a subjective terminology...And I have you affirming this so far!
You may think that so and so person is educated, but that maybe an uneducated guess on your part!

Jamalludin's thread options make more sense!
Because you can tell who is honest is also "educated" but who is dishonest is uneducated. Since dishonesty is born of "bad faith", and a lack of social intelligence and an inability to comprehend the consequences of one's own actions! (Hence why Moses was shocked by the actions of Khidr, whom he was told was wiser than him)

I was actually trying to give credence to your original two options by stating that the difference between educated and uneducated is solely based on how "cultured" one is.

But you being the buffoon that you are have shoot your self in the foot by asserting that education means "rational, well informed"...thus contradicting your self by affirming the negative: a liar is an irrational, ill informed and ignorant person.

            Good job!

yeah ok some guys personal commentary on youtube was evidence of reality; you have reality and fantasy flipped upside down

As for the other babble trying to redeem yourself on; READ the actual Khdr story, Moses went to Khidr(as) for the purpose of acquiring knowledge. Kihdr(as) was teaching Moses through examples; which had a deeper understanding about.

I put two links to the Tafsir so you'd actually have some common sense and learn the relevance of the story.

Obviously an idiot would think idiocy would make sense, that's all you're capable of.

You're transplanting your own fraudulent narrative into this; I never made any such claim that you made. Jamaluddin's thread presents only two possible scenarios. I'm presenting two more scenarios. I'm saying if Both are honest, who is more trustworthy someone who is educated and honest, or uneducated and honest. The rational choice is clear cut. The thread is self explanatory. And you are a knitwit.

Enjoy defeat and keep fighting some Phantom caricature of me you invent because you certainly can't face my arguments head on as plain to see.

Isnt the choice a little bit black and white? What about self educated (perhaps by life), enlightened by experience, and rational based on collective experiences?

I've met professors that, if a disaster hit, would probably perish in the first 24 hours and hillbillys who could climb into the mountains, piece together their own gun, shoot bows and arrows, kill their prey, survive, and live another day.

I've met ivory tower professors who relish the fast paced city, and then I've met old guys who were simple business men in small towns that boil the world's complexities down to a few simple dictums based on human interactions.

In general, education is a very very important tool in the modern technology era and should be pursued, but late starters can always enlighten themselves without having the harvard degree next to their name.

Take that a-s-s clown Charles Krautheimmer... harvard med harved residency educated psychiatrist... presently a NY Times reporter. Doesnt seem to me that his education really educated him on the world's realities (i.e. people despise US foreign policy because of what we do abroad, not because Britney Spears and Angelina can get tattoos together here in the US).

well that's what the intention was, to demonstrate that given both are honest, people will choose one who's more competent in knowledge, experience and learning. It was a response to people who present some false dichotomy that a person can either be honest and uneducated or dishonest and educated.

You could argue that a person being self educated would in fact fall into being educated and enlightened, in fact the dichotomy you believe that it's being made "black and white" hasn't been established here, so I'm not sure where you're pulling that from.

There was no stipulation about attending Harvard or what have you.
