Is the uncomfortable reality of the Islamic world too much for you to handle?
Wasnt the ProPhet a coworker of Khadija? So the Prophet himself worked with the women?
Clowns who resort to threats during a debate are intellectual midgets
And threats towards the Amir is just a waste of time
I love facts, dont you child?
tell me how did the prophet worked with khadija ?were they setting next to each other and working and talking face to face?
NO NEVER.
khadija had Slaves and maids and they were the connection btw her and the prophet.
even in the masjid they space btw men and women.
Verse No. 53 of Surat al-Ahzab, or the Confederates (Interpretation of the meaning); "...for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs..."
In explaining this Verse, Ibn Kathir (May Allaah have mercy on him) said: "Meaning, as I forbade you to enter their rooms, I forbid you to look at them at all. If one wants to take something from a woman, one should do so without looking at her. If one wants to ask a woman for something, the same has to be done from behind a screen."
The Prophet (May peace and blessings be upon him) enforced separation of men and women even at Allaah’s most revered and preferred place, the mosque. This was accomplished via the separation of the women’s rows from the men’s; men were asked to stay in the mosque after completion of the obligatory prayer so that women will have enough time to leave the mosque; and, a special door was assigned to women. Evidence of the foregoing are:
Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) said that after Allah’s Messenger (May peace and blessings be upon him) said "as-Salamu ‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullah’ twice announcing the end of prayer, women would stand up and leave. He would stay for a while before leaving. Ibn Shihab said that he thought that the staying of the Prophet (May peace and blessings be upon him) was in order for the women to be able to leave before the men who wanted to depart." Narrated by al-Bukhari under No. 793.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) never shook hands with an unrelated woman. Umaymah b. Raqîqah said: “I came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) with a group of the women of Madinah to swear fealty for Islam. The women informed Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) that they wished to swear fealty to him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘I do not shake hands with women. The way I accept the pledge from one woman is the same as with one hundred women.” [al-Muwatta’, Sunan al-Tirmidhî, Sunan al-Nasa’î and Sunan Ibn Majah].
The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said: “It is better for one of you to be pierced by a steel pin in his head than to touch the hand of a strange woman.” [Al-Mundhirî mentions that all the narrators of this hadîth are trustworthy. Al-Albânî classifies it as a good hadîth in Ghâyah al-Marâm (no. 403).]
There is evidence that women may not sit with strange men while wearing perfume. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Any woman who puts on perfume then goes and passes by some men to let them find her scent is a type of adulteress.” [Musnad Ahmad, Sunan al-Tirmidhî, Sunan Abî Dâwûd, and Sunan al-Nasâ’î with a sound chain of transmission]
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The best of rows in prayer for the man is the first row and the worst for him is the last, and the best of rows for the women is the last row and the worst for her is the first.” [Sahîh Muslim].
dont you think your so stupid arguing about things like that with me ?
YEAH, YOU ARE SO STUPID.
this is the 2ed time i shut your filthy mouth.
and please don't use lies here cuz i am here to turn them against you.
you and the bald using lies alot.such a shame & nifaq.

^ this is too easy
Lets assume that Khadija NEVER EVER met the PRophet while they worked together.
Lets assume their interaction occurred solely through third party intermediaries like servants and other employees
What sex were these intermediaries? Where they men or women?

Amir,
I don't really care about this women mixing debate but your argument is flawed.
Before the Qur'an was revealed to the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, it was called the time of Jahiliya, ignorance. So whatever was socially acceptable then doesn't make it valid now. Drinking alcohol was common too and most of the Sahaba did it before they became muslims, but you can't make the argument that it applies.
Secondly, in the context of the discussion, the type of work that the holy prophet peace be upon him did is now extinct. He was a merchant that travelled on the road. And the maid of Khadjia (pbuh) accompanied him on trips. It is an attribute of the prophets to be chaste and mindful of their interactions with women, like the story of Moses, who accompanied the lost woman across the dresert. So when you say "intermingled with co workers", it doesn't mean that they were standing by the watercooler cracking jokes with the ladies and asking them "Hey, what are you doing after work?". Business is business, but it is common for people to date their co workers and sociolize with them. The clerical office type of job wasn't a popular type of work back then. We're talking about the 7th century when the whole population of the planet was in the millions...and most women didn't work. Women in the work force is a modern phenomena.
Before the advent of Islam there were all sorts of hedonistic practices in the culture of arabs, but you can't possibly make the argument that the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, condoned it. Still no one is making the argument here that you can't "interact" with women - inamal a3malu bil niyat - actions are judged by their intentions.Last edited by Alchemist; 11-03-2011, 09:55 AM.

great post Alchemist, but also we have to do our best to separate btw them in most of the work places..etc.....in the islamic country.
in the west our muslim girls shouldnt go out without hijabs....also they should try they best to work in women place's if not and they need to work then they should take by the Rules...like not talking else about works...hijab...etc
im sure u knw but u make your post short and perfect.

What is this paranoia and insecurity you guys are creating for Muslim women out there ??
Work ethics protects everyone at a work site in foreign. As long as you dress up appropriately not only at a work site but everywhere else and watch out the way you behave and interact with the opposite gender, you have got nothing to worry about. No one is going to look at you the wrong way unless you provide them with an opportunity for it.
What is next?? Next time we see a man, we should run back inside the house, screaming "astaghfarullah, I saw a man!"??
How many of you men avoid working in places where women are bound to end up being your coworker???
I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.
non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

Your argument implies that Nabi(saw) lived according to the ways of Jahiliyah; in Islam, the traditional view was that Muhammad(saw) was rightly guided and that he was affiliated with only the most noble and chaste individuals. Hence his interactions with women on any level prior to or after jahiliyah was the proper example irregardless. The argument of Jahiliyah was that the society at large engaged in those behaviors opposed by Islam, not that the Prophet (saw)'s actions were out of ignorance.
The debate here isn't whether there are rules of interaction between women; this is a debate on whether Islam mandates a strict/rigid separation of genders in every sphere of life
clearly a very typical move of Homosexual Liberals of the west, to cry HOMOPHOBE HOMOPHOBE, when they feel threatened or under scrutiny. Why isn't it a surprise you're sympathizing with homosexual friendly behavior like gender separation?
