Islamic Revival to its fundamentals

[Iqra]

I might pay it a visit for some books

are you going to RIS ???

[Muslimah]

We have many things in my city for Muslims.
We have Reviving the Islamic Spirit, Muslimfest and we even have Journey of Faith Conferences. They are quite huge. Last year I think there were something like 80,000 at Journey of Faith in Toronto. Muslimfest is great, it has a lot of comedians, and ways to reach out to the youth. They take what Islam teaches, and teaches it in a way that we understand in our time, and so that children understand.
RIS is great too. I don't know if it is better to modernize Islam, but more so to explain things in a way we can understand. I think just getting all these Muslims together to realize we aren't alone and giving us that boost of confidence and refresher as Muslims is helpful.
I will go to all of them again this year, and the next inshAllah.
