The thing is, people are so accustumed to using labels that it is confusing them if you dont use a label.

I prefer that people say what they have to say and do what they have to do, and we should judge people by their actions.

If someone says to be following Quran and Sunnah and then this person goes on to do something that is against Quran and Sunnah, then we shouldn't call this person a follower of Quran and Sunnah.

But sadly the reality is quite contrary. You have to adjust yourself to a particular school or movement and be part of it and take everything from this name or label otherwise you are misfit.

This is why I hate labels. I am just a Muslim and I try to follow Quran and Sunnah. I try.

If you hate labels then you should not call others with different labels like you did in this thread and also should not label your own self with different names.

Uhh...not really but I have great respect for their `ulema and the major contributions and sacrifice they have made for our deen. As for the work of da`wah and tabligh, just like with any work of deen, I try to benefit where I can and I personally find tremendous benefit in this work just as I find benefit in al-Maghrib classes and in the gatherings of the people of tasawwuf.

And Allah knows best.

Please stay with deobandis. Its safer than Al Maghrib.

I attended a great Ijtema like this in UK. Tariq Jameel came to address the Jamaat tabligh of UK.

It was great. Never seen so many Mullahs in one place. Very good and beneficial gatherigns.

These great Ijtemas are a costum of Deobandis. I am not labeling. BUt this is what Deobandis do. Other groups don't have such gatherings.

Yes they are doing great job. may Allah reward them. spreading the message with peace and patience.

Back in the 70's and 80's most desi's were secularized in UK. They would wear kaafir clothes and act like kaafirs. Their children use go clubbing etc.

Then jamaat tabligh came along and all of that damtob was finished. Now millions of desis are very religious. And many Afghans benefited as well.

I use to go and stay in Masjid with Jamaat Tabligh.

hmmm ok. They have made great contribution in spreading the message thats why their word is listened and admired all over the world. Only the munafiqeen and jealous people dont listen to them raise finger on them.
