Very, very sorry to hear this, khorey (sis). Unfortunately, it's very common for people who leave the religion they were born into for another one that they accept themselves to be disowned or at least shunned by their parents. Happens to Muslims who leave Islam, too, and I know of a few. In fact, according to the law of some Muslim countries, anyone who leaves Islam must be killed. So be happy you're not being killed for having accepted another religion.

But consider us family, girl! We're all family here, anyway.

Do you know Pashto? ... What is your friend's view on Pashto and on marrying outside the Pashtun culture?

Like I said, for example with him, if his parents cant accept someone for their religion because they don't come from the same culture, its their loss.

If he cannot stand up for himself.....how is that a man?

Muslimah dear, dont settle for less.....marry a wonderful Pakhtun man that loves you and cherish you, that his parents call you of their own...there are plenty of good families out there....dont lose hope but dont waste your time trying to run after it, usually like Iqra said, it happens when you least expect it

      enjoy life right now!

Muslimah, hang in there. This basement might become a nostalgic feeling one day if you marry the wrong Pashtun.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

I have an American (white + Hispanic) Muslim convert friend who has been longing to marry an Egyptian friend of ours for the past four years. The guy wants to marry her as much as she wants to marry him. This is one of the kindest, sweetest, smartest women I know. She’s in her early 30s while the guy is in his late 20s. She is a radiologist and a divorcee with two sons. The guy she likes is studying medicine, and his parents told this friend of mine, “We have big dreams for our son. He’s going to become a doctor, and we are sorry but if he marries a divorcee with two sons, he’ll be too distracted.” For the last four years, they’ve been trying to get married, and last I checked, it wasn’t happening at all. The girl has spoken to his family, begged their forgiveness for the mistakes she made before her conversion, and has promised over and over – and even shown it – that she would be a perfect daughter-in-law for them.
The guy’s family refuses to see her as worthy of their son. They, too, want for him to marry a girl from their village who is not “western” in any way because they, like many other parents, believe that a western girl/woman doesn’t know how to take care of a family the way a non-western girl/woman does.

So, that’s just to say … I have friends in your situation. I know of a couple of Pashtuns in your friend’s situation as well. Their parents are just as stubborn, just as unwilling to let them marry a non-Pashtun.

(It seems like you've looked into only one group of Muslims/scholars/teachings of Islam, and not more than just that one. I'll explain this as we have discussions, and you'll know what I'm mostly referring to.) But, of course, if that's what you prefer, then it's all good, and I am no one to tell you what's good for you.
Osho thinks those women will be burden on society who choose to be house wives. If a woman loves household activities (which is instinctively in their nature) then who are the we to discourage her natural tendency?.

If you beleive Islam is the right religion for you and you're confident that you've discovered the essence of your being at last, then welcome to being a Muslim! I wish you the best of both worlds, including happiness and peace for you and your loved ones wherever you go!
You should have ended your post here.
Still, I must ask ... how many other religions did you study before accepting Islam? You read the Quran, but what about other Holy Books?

And how much do you know about Christianity? Did you study Christianity before leaving it? Study it meaning from more than one angle, more than one of its interpretations? It's not just with Christianity that you should study more than one side of it: it's with Islam and all other religions. As you must know yourself as a teacher, there's never just one way of looking at, understanding, interpreting, or seeing anything.
Why you have only analytical approach towards your religion? Have you ever felt the spirtual side of islam?

By the way, you said in your first post that you were told in the Christian school not to question .... beware, I must say A lot of Muslims don't beleive in questioning either. I don't agree, and not all Muslims are against question, of course, but some are :D You'll see it here on PF yourself. (Again, only some are like this, not all.)
Questioning for sake guidance is always appreciated but yes our scholars should'nt bother to answer the questions meant to provoke debates for fun.

Again, welcome to Islam and to being Muslim! Use your knowledge of it to serve humanity as much as you can, sis. We need peaceful people in this world today -- and always, really.
And islam is for all humanity !
