What if they were doing this to you, and beheaded you, and then just go on and say "oh yeah he was a spy"; should we just say?

Well actually I do believe that when Allah(swt) mentions the throne, he's referring to the establishment of his dominion when he manifested the universe. I don't see it as a place to "rest his feet" or something.

Muhammad(saw) had direct DIVINE authority, he was the Viceregent of Allah(swt), he could do that. That was one of the requirements of the Office of being NABI.

After him, no such humans had such office; hence they had to go under a judiciary authority whether by Nabi(saw) or Khilafa or Wazir to be able to administer hudood.

Not even years ago did I think people without any legitimacy credentials or authority were allowed to go around murdering people and claim they were killing spies.
