Jeans are terrible, and no self-respecting woman in ANY culture would wear them.

i dont know where are you living ? The more a woman is covered the greater the man respects her... man becomes dog and looses his senses when he looks at woman when she is not properly covered.

Look, I don't know why the discussion has ended up on this topic, but the laws of Islam have one cause, root, and basis:

Allah Subhana wa Taala commands us to do so

Simply put, there is not one reason that is stronger than this one to do something, or to leave doing it. In addition, there is nothing which is too difficult to justify through this reason.

Now, we can sit around and discuss the benefits of the rulings of Islam (and there are many), but it is largely useless to attempt to explain the laws of Islam who does not accept the reason upon which we do everything.

Now, if any non-Muslim wants to discuss why we believe the laws of Islam come from Allah Subhana wa Taala, then we'd be happy to do so, and I can even direct anyone interested to people more knowledgeable than myself, and most likely anyone else here.

But, if you just want to attack the laws of Islam, then know that anything that comes out of your head, mouth, keyboard, etc. is meaningless to us when it opposes the command of our Lord.

This is not true. Your definition of Moral is different from everyone else. You beleive that western societies are moral because they are rich and you beleive that latin american, south american, african, middle eastern, southeast asian societies are immoral because they are poor. Just because your tummy is full all of the time because your rich and the person next to you tummy's is empty most of time and steals once in awhile doesn't make you moral and him immoral.
