Muslims are proud of few simple inventions or discoveries or translations or the so called contributions to science but this is all what is their achievement in the last 1400 years,,,,,,,,and today they dont have a single world known noble prize holder scientist and not a purely democratic state except may be Turkey or Malysia. What a sorry state of affairs,,,,,,be realistic please, dont be proud of these simple things , think of the huge scientific and technological developments in the modern, democratic non mulim world .

Muslims should not not take the little glorious past in an emotional way but to take it in a realsitic way. If I said that Muslims should not be proud of simple things like kinves and coffee and miswak ,and rudiments of Algebra etc it means that these are very simple things including Muslims establishment of few universities or hospitas which are not technological inventions but just buildings with intitutions. Muslims no doubt copied some books from Greeks in Abassid period but after that were submerged in the quagmire of mysticism and poetry and then we dont hear of any Muslim invention or great achievement for centuries.

We may seriously note that all these so called Muslim inventions and contributions to Science and technology are just abstract and historical things. Past is past now lets talk of present and future. Can you show me a single world famous Muslim scientist or can you mention a single invention by a Muslim scientist in the modern times.

This whole discussion of Muslim scientists is absurd. Talk of nationalities and nations as Turks, Afghans, Pakistanis, Saudis , Egyptians scientists etc not Muslim scientists. As Islam is only a religion (faith+wprship+morality) nothing to do with science or technology.

But making Islam everything has made Muslim world devoid of any scientist as for Islam the most important is Quran or hadith not science or technology and Muslims pass their lives in rememebring how to do wadu and istinja instead of developing science and technology.

The only practicable solution to all the problems of Muslims is separating Islam from the material , social, economic, technological, scientific world and making it restricted only to religious affairs and private lives of people.

One may further note that these few Arab scientists that we mention were all Philosopher kind of people and were not traditional Muslims many belonging to Mutazalite school of thought who according to the traditional Muslims were non believers. These scientists emerged mainly in Abbasid period which mas because of the climax of the progress of the Arab empire not because of Islam because Islam as religion make you more other worldly and more pious not a sceintist.

Muslims have to separate religion and science otherwise we will neither of this world nor of the other world.
