I know your going through a I-hate-man phase. A lot of girls your age experience this when they find that all the men they meet want to get into their pants quickly and leave. I appreciated your concern. I am not confused. Rather, I have been enlightened.

I used to be a good "muslim" girl, if you want to call it that. Then I met some Muslims who opened my eyes. It all made sense. The reason why we, women, are suffering is because all of those who interpreted the Quran were men, and it was all about political control for them.

Ever since I have ventured along this path, I feel spiritual closeness to god. I have formed a great sorority with other Muslim women who think alike. How could it be possible to displease god and have a spiritual relationship with him? Impossible.

In Islam you don't need the approval of your first wife to marry a second wife. This is man made. I should therefore also be allowed to have multiple men without the consent of my husband. In Afghanistan this is impossible because of the society and its dictates--it is run by men after all--but in North America or Europe I can do it, there are laws that protect me.
