  • This sounds like merely psychological attempt at self consolation; and denial.

    • You can't feel god and be wrong. Impossible.
Every feminist feels god, therefore we are all right. We might differ here and there, but in principle we are all united.
My apologies to Roshina. We should not fight. We should unite and tell people that the Quran is man made to subjugate women.

      • It's not God you're feeling but the vacant emptiness of your own idiocy.

        • You are just jealous that feminists feel god. Listen, mister, god does not love you, that is why you have this hate for women. Every feminist feels that they are doing something great.

I am pretty sure if you ask Roshina she would also attest that god is part of her life. Otherwise, do you think she would question the male interpretation of Islam? Of course, not. The same goes to me. I feel god is closer to the more I feel that I don't need a man.

Why do you refer to God as "He," by the way? Do you not think this is an offense to God, considering men, referred to as "he," are a useless species of creatures, according to you?

At least refer to God as "She" then.

P.S. Remember that God has no gender... but most people like to refer to God as "He," but me, I like to refer to God as "She" sometimes and "He" other times.

I will propagate the idea that we need to do as we please. It will only be a matter of time before a female prophet appears. The monopoly of men is about to come to an end. Sucks to be all of you. We will put all of you under a veil, and we will marry as many of you as possible.

did you just say you are a prophet

Guley, I'm always seeking Pashtun women bloggers to show support. Mind sharing a few of those blog links with me? I'd be grateful! I know of very few at the moment.

Once again, scriptural evidence please? We admit there is no gender, but why go against what God himself has revealed when he utilizes "hoowa" or arabic for he. Example: Qul: hoowaa Allahu Ahaad: Say: He is Allah the the One.

For that matter, what say ye of the Quranic ayaahs in Surah Najm when God rebukes the Pagans for setting up the female dieties in comparison to the One God. Before you try to explain, I preemptively agree that this was a rebuke of the Arabs of the time who had a lower view of femles yet dared to erect female gods alongside TheGod (Al-Lah):

"Have ye seen Lat an Uzza (19) And another the third (goddess) Manat? (20) What! for you the male sex and for Him the female? (21) Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair! (22) These are nothing but names which ye have devised― ye and your fathers― for which Allah has sent down no authority (whatever)."

However, the last ayaah is key in that it tells you and me that you cannot devise a system as you have without divine revelation supporting your stance. To suddenly alter Quranic language and replace "hoowaa" with the feminine equivalent has not ever been done.

Once again, I only bring these points to your door step not because they have anything to do with the sexes and the battle between them, but rather because this is the unalterable word of God. Even Irshaad Manji steps back from the precipice of attempting to alter a single ayaah and concedes that she only wants to play fast and loose with the interpretations as it relates to Gay marriage, etc.

                          Roshina,

If you have problems with men, let it be so, but don't let this ruin your relationship with Allah.

Allah in the Qur'an refers to Himself as 'he', howa (as oppose to female, hiya). If you utter about Allah what He has not ordained, you risk the chance of experiencing His wrath.

If you are not a muslim, then you can at least plead ignorance.

How good is your Arabic, Barakzai? Because the word "huwa" in Arabic doesn't mean "he" alone; it is also a gender-neutral term that means "It". We prefer to use "He" because "It" sounds disrespectful.

So, you've never heard the Muslim argument that God has no gender and that it's blasphemy to gender God? I thought everyone knew about it. I have written two articles on this. Gonna try to look for them and share them with ye. One was written about 5 years ago when I argued that God IS male according to the Quran, and the other one was written about 3 months ago after some research on the term. Goes to show that we can't just do a one-time reading and make a conclusion about something right away, be it the Quranic concept of God.

                              • Can we stop trying to pick on Roshina because she sometimes refers to Allah(swt) as "she"

do you realize that often times Sufi poets have also done the same thing, yet no one abjured them because they understand that Allaah(swt) being Supreme reflects the best aspects of the feminine and masculine without Gender

When "He" creates, he is a He, when he nurtures he reflects Rahman. Rahma refering to the The Womb, a feminine attribute.

please let's stop drawing straw hairs.
