  • If anyone has a female child, and does not bury her alive, or slight her,
or prefer his children (i.e. the male ones) to her, Allah will bring him
    into Paradise.

-Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas, Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 41, Hadith 5127
    ---
To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their
    own inclinations and desires

    • Umar ibn Khattab (RA) said:

Allah's Apostle smiled while he was lying on a mat made of palm tree
leaves with nothing between him and the mat. Underneath his head
there was a leather pillow stuffed with palm fibres, and leaves of a
saut tree were piled at his feet, and above his head hung a few water
skins. On seeing the marks of the mat imprinted on his side, I wept.
He said. 'Why are you weeping?' I replied, "O Allah's Apostle!
Caesar and Khosrau are leading the life (i.e. Luxurious life) while
you, Allah's Apostle though you are, is living in destitute". The
Prophet then replied. 'Won't you be satisfied that they enjoy this
world and we the Hereafter?' "

      -Narrated Ibn Abbas,Bukhari, Book 6, Volume 60, Hadith 5127

The hadith is much longer but I only posted this part as the rest consists
of a story which is repeated many times in other hadith and has a special
      meaning of its own.

Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) would perform long rakats in two units of four rakats each with such excellence and devotion which cannot be described. Thereafter he would perform three rakats of witr salah".

The Prophet (S.A.W) said, "Night prayer is offered as two Rakat followed by two Rakat and so on, and if you want to finish it, pray only one Raka which will be Witr for all the previous Rakat." Al-Qasim said, "Since we attained the age of puberty we have seen some people offering a three-Rakat prayer as Witr and all that is permissible. I hope there will be no harm in it."

Only people who are dedicated read the books, volume after volume.

                        This one for you

Sahih Bukhari (none other) Volume 4, Book 52, Number 159:
                        Narrated Sahl:
That he was asked about the wound of the Prophet on the day (of the battle) of Uhud. He said, 'The face of the Prophet as wounded and one of his front teeth as broken and the helmet over his head was smashed. Fatima washed of the blood while Ali held water. When she saw that bleeding was increasing continuously, she burnt a mat (of date-palm leaves) till it turned into ashes which she put over the wound and thus the bleeding ceased.'

                        Volume 4, Book 52, Number 160:
                        Narrated 'Amr bin Al-Harith:
The Prophet did not leave behind him after his death, anything except his arms, his white mule, and a piece of land at Khaibar which he left to be given in charity .

                        • Abu al-‘Abbas ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas, radiyallahu anhuma, reported: One day I was behind the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, and he said to me:

"O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice] : Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you (have need to) ask, ask of Allah; and if you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that even if the Nation (or the whole community) were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded for you, and that if they gather together to harm you with something, they would not be able to harm you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried."

[Al-Tirmidhi relates this and says: It is a good, genuine Hadith]
