I'm not even a particular fan of Khalid Ibn Walid and I definitely feel that the Sahaba are not above historical critique and analysis. But the fact that forged stories exist about Khalid Ibn Walid and they're always traced to sources coming hundreds of years after the event, demonstrates the UN- likeliness of their authenticity.
no time to discuss fictious and irrelevant subjects
ahhh so u cant defend it? hiding from it wont make it go away... the fact that even the sunni scholars accept something happened but try their best and gloss it over shows that something did indeed happen... so unless you can defend what he did even on the sunni stance which btw is stupid and against Islamic law since it ignores the waiting time period for widows.. shows that he aint exactly the saint sunnis make him out to be

how do you want to defend those two people in your screen picture?
I have never heard of her, I don't mind admitting.
We can take with a grain of salt, but just want to hear the incident, as I am no fan of Khalid's either. Though he was an undeniably strong general.
salaam... she was a companion of the prophet.... considered to be a very beautiful woman... she married one malik ibn nuwayra... who was a brave warrior and who worked for the islamic government as a tax collector... he fell in2 argument with the 1st caliph and during the ridda wars was killed by Khalid who proceeded to have intercourse with his wife... the sunni stance is he "married" her and hence she was halal for him... u do the math.... widows must wait for at least a few months before marriage and what woman marries the killer of her husband? thats the story in short...
the 1st caliph was also angry at the "marriage" which happened the very night of her husbands death... Khalid was ordered to pay blood money and was criticized for his actions with Layla
1 please dont bury your head in the sand .... admit that he killed a muslim and then raped his wife
or go with the line of the sunnis and say he married her in which case he broke Islamic law stating that a widow must wait for idda period to expire which btw is longer than a day
btw read tabari... sunni historian who testifies to the authenticity of the event...
Tabari goes further and says that he was about to be placed on trial for murder and adultery/rape but this was halted by the caliph who said Khalid had made a mistake or an "error of judgement"
