      PS
      New post of Toramana,

You never did respond to the remarks I made about turkey, after you asked my opinion once awhile back.

Please explain YOUR ideas about Turkey somewhere on the Forum.

I like all the GOOD in Pashtun everything.
I just abhor these Ghani Khan, Frontier Gandhi type of people !
They do NOT represent Pashtun CULTURE.
Rather, they are some type of movement which has hijacked that for their own personal gains.
This is MY off the cuff assessment.

I like Pashtun language: it was fun to hear it again in the interesting video about the Taliban commander made by the Norweigian, I think. I greatly enjoyed hearing that familiar "Kha"...!

Like I could say, right now you are in Saudi Arabia. I have heard there are a lot of Wahabi madrassas there to raise future fanatics and suicide bombers.

But would this fanaticism do any good to our innocent people is a serious point to think about. No need to be lured by the charms of Madam Turkey and get sentimental on an issue beyond our capacity to resolve alone.

Yes, I understand your Jehadi urges and the viloent joyful jehadi orgies the sight of a bushy bearded Mullah with lusty jehadi looks might have given you. But the point is, Pashtun kids, women, elderly, etc. need some moments of peace from this perpetual war no matter who imposed it on them.

As for the Frontier Ghadhi, he was a noble man having spent 35 years of his life in prison. And you know no person of ordinary conscience can consciously give such a huge sacrifices without a sound character. He did all this for peace and progress of his people.

Yes, you cannot even put two words togethor correctly and you are telling me I am a brainwashed. Instead you seem to have all the signs of someone being brainwashed in a Madrassa closet to be the imam of a mosque.

                  Unknown is absolutely right.

There should be a section on Turkey.
                  We can all participate.
Toramana dropped out of that discussion that one day. Pakhtun_Policy posted a useful video about Kurdish PKK members mimicking and laughing AT Islamic prayer.
Mentioning this so it will be Exhibit A in the future discussion.

Unknown, yes, but Europeans are always loathe to be involved in any war, due to the two and even three major wars fought on their soil since 1870. This includes the often forgotten - by Americans - Franco-Prussian War.
The Europeans were "peaceniks" back in the 1980s, advocating a passive approach toward the Soviet Empire.

So their opposition to the war in Afghanistan is not based on ANY principles. Other than their own mentality of avoiding conflict and bloodshed after the large-scale wars of the 20th century. [Calling them "world wars" is kind of weird. The WORLD didn't fight there in Europe, just major Western powers, with Japan in the East and Pacific. South America was not involved; most Islamic nations had no participation except British colonies pushed hard to send soldiers.]

Back to this, really, from what I've read, it's - SADLY - only the overt Marxists in America and a few elements of small leftist groups which have spoken out about the injustice of the war from the point of view of Afghans being killed !

Talk about lack of conscience! Few Americans even care about any angle. Opposition is muted overall and like Unknown said, based on ... simple greed !

                        Good point Fahd!
I assumed Toramana was a man.
                        He didn't answer that yet.

Toramana, may we have the honor of knowing with whom we are speaking?
                        A short CV/resume perhaps?

Re Frontier Gandhi, he gave the me the willies ever since I first heard of him and met his enthusiastic supporters in that same Sarhad....
There was one biography of him in the local used bookstore in the Islamic world section.
I used to cringe when I saw it, for the rays it emanated - yes books have energy fields - were so unpleasant, I would have to move away.

Besides I don't consider him a Muslim but perhaps an agent of Marxist entities...

Say something rational please. One video will say all for Kurds haan. I have met many Kurds and found them very humble and noble. On the contrary every Turk that I met left a very distasteful impression on me; arrogant and boosting almost without limits. Still I will not generalize about all Turks on the basis of the few I met. There may be decent Turks out there.

By the way what had you gone there for? Was it some Jehadi mission to Waziristan. And it doesn't make any differece if few abnormal fanatics living on the fringes hate him. There are millions and billions of people that love him for the noble cause he pursued the whole of his life.

OK well I like the Kurds very much too.
I had the best food of my life in Diyarbakir at the village home of a Kurdish family.
It was the simplest food but maybe it was the natural salt they used, for it was the best breakfast I ever had.

I was invited to accompany a famous Turkish journalist who was interviewing Kurds to find out THEIR views on upcoming elections.
See, Turks CARE what Kurds wish to see accomplished in Turkey! Otherwise his newspaper would never have sent him.

It's the PKK - and Komeleh too in Iran - which I abhor.
                              Catya Hatun

PS You may have met Turks in North America. I haven't met any here, but I know them from Turkey itself. I traveled to every corner of the country, even to the - at that time - off limits border post of Ani in the northeast. There's a neat old Armenian Church there.
Then I went through all the Kurdish areas in the southeast near Iraq.
Turks were uniformly lovely people: hospitable, NEVER once boasting, ever. Very serious, sober people

The only less good ones were those chasing customers in the Kapali Carsi area...!

Every one should see the Turk natioanlism in you. Now you say they are liked by Turks. Say some thing about their repression at the hands of Turks instead of your personal expriences.
