Like you, they have misunderstood the religion, Islam is the most tolerant religion you could find, it is more tolerent than Democracy, The Quaran elimanted slavery with one verse, it took america 150 years to get rid of it. It gave women rights to own land and rights to inheratence, right to divorce, right to be independent. As long as their is greed and injustice, there wont be peace. People will kill and abuse each other to make a buck. It is heartening to see some notable honouring Ustad Awal Mir, the legendary Pashto singer, however it was discouraging to observe that not a single Pashto word was spoken on his grave, which he so much adored and loved.This is a dismal specticle of our sweet language being ridiculed and humiliated on the alter of someone who worshiped Pashto and Pashtunwali.Comment
