YouTube - DA BACHA KHAN JANAZA........12 OF 16

        Khan Badshah Khan, rahmatullahi alaih.

Great hero of Muslims and Pashtuns.

My only concern as far as I know Islamically is that a person should be buried straight away in the place they have passed away. Other than that may Allah have mercy on Abdul Ghaffar.

In Pakistan Afghan-paki dual citizenship is prohibited though it is allowed for any paki to have a UK, US or any other country's citizenship except india alongwith afghanistan.

you people are soooooo confused. first you brag-i mean boast[ what?! there is a fine difference!] about how your for fathers fought for afghanistan and then you want to know why bacha khan is buried there. what the hell do you want? do you even know what you want? where would you rather have him buried? in a country where you get shot for speaking your language? and don't you see the irony? you are not happy in pakistan because they don't accept you for being what you are and you are not happy with us "farsiwaans" in our own country. good luck... no really! good luck.
well my for fathers were fire worshipers. you don't see me making a huge deal out of that. you have to make an identity for your self..am i blabbering? yeah, i think so okay, i will shut up.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

Thanks for all those that have participated.
It does make sense - the move was both political and spiritual. Political in that he wanted to send a message to Pakistan, spiritual in that all Pashtoon land is one.

The discussion is about Bacha Khan, not individual politics.

Obviously, they consider Afghanistan an enemy state and the dual nationality could lead to shared economic interests (apart from the historical and ethnic bonds) and thus could pave the way for Pashtuns/ afghans re-unification.

Quite true, but he was pretty much written out of Pakistani history and his peace movement - his following of ahimsa - spells in Afghanistan and visits to India meant that he fell foul of the authorities and yet he found himself talking to the very same.

Sinn Fein (Irish for Ourselves) is a republican political party in the Northern Ireland that seeks separation from the United Kingdom to become part or EIRE. And yet whilst the British control Ulster (that tip of the Irish Island called Northern Ireland) Sinn Fein has to work with government that sits in London. They have to operate under British laws and they have to contest British elections. They even get seats in Parliament.

The cooperation has come at a cost (or benefit, if you like). The cost/benefit is they are legally a UK political party. The other cost/benefit is that they don't take their seats in parliament. And finally, the benefit has been that after many years of covertly supporting an armed separatism which at one point made Northern Ireland the most dangerous part in the western world, they were compelled to lay down their arms and work for peace.

It's just an example of the compromises that are sometimes made.

You have replied it your self. Since Pakhtunkhwa is an occupied land, therefore he prefered " the heart of the Pakhtunland, Jalalabad, in Azad Afghanistan". I accompanied his funeral from Peshawar, and I saw hundred thousands of Pakhtuns from Pakhtunkhwa, trampling the false Durand Line. Bacha Khan envisaged that one day the Line would vanish altogather.
