How are Pashtuns treated in Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif and other areas of Afghanistan that are dominated by non-Pashtuns? Logically in areas dominated by Pashtuns the behavior of non-Pashtuns will be different and vice versa. I wonder if any of the ethnic groups of Afghanistan feels any sense of security in areas where they find themselves to be a minority. If there is so much peace and brotherly love amongst ethnic groups of Afghanistan then why are there countless websites and videos made by these other ethnic groups bashing Pashtuns?

Dear Freedom Fighter wrora,
Let me make this very clear to you,
anyone who is an Afghan, who has ever lived in Afghanistan, and those who are well-wishers of Afghanistan are members of my immediate family and I would die for them right now, as I would for my country.
And anyone who insults my country insults me, and an insult to me
isn't something you'll get away with.
Now, with that being said, I'll have you know that last year, I took 6 months off from college to travel through Afghanistan.
I went to Kabul, Kunar, Bamyan, Mazar, Jalabad, Sheberghan and Badakhshan. I saw no Pashtun or Tajik, Hazara or Uzbek, all I saw were poor and desperate people, trying to forget the many years they have suffered at the hands of foreign powers.
When I went to "Tajik dominated" areas, as you called them, I was greated as they would great a fellow "Tajik" and when I went to Jalabad and Kunar, people couldn't care less about who's a Tajik and who's Pashtun. All Afghan. End of story.
There some maybe videos of Pashtuns bashing Tajiks or Tajiks bashing Pashtuns but that doesn't mean all Pashtuns are racist or all Tajiks are racist.

And its not about Tajiks and Panjabis, its about which one supports and loves Afghanistan.
Tajiks (as you call them) are citizens of Afghanistan, they are 100% Afghan as any Pashtun, same with Hazara and Uzbek, and therefore, they naturally defend Afghanistan, so I see them as family and fellow countrymen and love them.
Panjabis are citizens of India and Pakistan. I have nothing against any country or race, but as I said before, an insult to my country is not taken lightly. Panjabis who want a prosperous Afghanistan get my support and undying gratitude as much as any "Tajik" or anyone for that matter would .
People who love Afghanistan = my family.
People who don't = should be crushed under tanks.
I hope this answers your question and don't take it personally.

Ah let him be, he is just frustrated for failing to sow hatred between Tajiks and Pukhtoons. If being a full-blood Pukhtoon means sharing his thinking, then thank Him I am not a full-blooded one!Originally posted by Da_Kunar_Ghro View PostExcuse me wrora, have you been to Afghanistan? Have you met the people ther? I don't think so, because if you had, you would also be talking like this.
And as far as the thread is concerned, Kunar wror explained it very beautifully. People don't care about ethnicy any more because they have realized what they have lost by bringing in ethnic-issues! They are just a whole load of poor people who are trying to make their living, fighting to find a penny every day. It's a different thing that some people are wishing that ethnic fights start again and the country breaks down one more time, but I can only feel pity on such people who want poor people to live a life as pathetic as their thinking. That's not how things work, bro!Gar Jahanum Sakhtam Ferdaws Ham Mesazamat

But you are not a full-blooded Pukhtoon, you admitted, you are a half Tajik, and married to a Tajik family. So your destiny lies with your in-laws.This is the reason that 62.83% Pashtuns are belittled as 40% in Afghanistan, due to losing their identity , culture and language.Originally posted by Shayesta View PostAh let him be, he is just frustrated for failing to sow hatred between Tajiks and Pukhtoons. Shayesta khorey, this is where we disagree. I feel that I should be given an AK47 and its my moral duty to shoot every single one of these people in the head, but its best to leave it to God as He is the master of this world and the next.

These Pakistani Pashtun Nationalists have a problem with the fact that Pashtuns in Afghanistan do not have hatred and animosity for people of other ethnicity.
However, I think De Kunar Ghor is not telling the truth.
Many Pashtuns have been persecuted in Northern Afghanistan. Especially in Takhar, Qunduz, Balkh, Sare Pul, Badghis, Baghlan, Herat, Parwan, Kabul and Herat.
In Takhar and Qundus, large portions of land is taken from the Pashtuns and the people are excpelled from their land.
The central government is ignoring the situation of Pashtuns in northern regions. Because the current puppet regime is filled with all sorts of criminals who have no mercy or compassion:

first off... one is considered full blooded pashtoon if his or her father is pashtoon. a pashtoon father is sufficient for one to be a pashtoon and it is certainly not my rule, its a rule of pashtoonwali. you are not full blooded pashtoon in my opinion since you don't even know pashtoonwali and don't even follow it! as it appears from your above post.Originally posted by ijaz yousafzai View PostBut you are not a full-blooded Pukhtoon, you admitted, you are a half Tajik, and married to a Tajik family. Second!... I am pashtoon from both mother and father! (not that it makes me any more pashtoon that someone else who has a tajik mother) and I am against division between tajiks and pashtoons ...
IN MY COUNTRY! in AFGHANISTAN hailing for unity and togetherness is considered praisworthy, be it from a pashtoon or a tajik!... the type of mentality you have is labeled as uneducated, backward, and unacceptable by Afghanistan loving afghans. Your opinion is cheap, degrating, and ignorant!. don't expect us to adapt to your mentality.

Listen to the video more carefully; Such cruelty was put in practice by Dostum. Why else do you think many Pukhtoons fled to Herat from Mazar when Northern Alliance newly came to power? Because Ismail Khan was much more softer on Pukhtoons. And today, thousands of Pukhtoons have returned to the North, Takhar in fact got a Pukhtoon mayor. Even though majority of Pukhtoons in Herat speak Dari today, they still consider themselves Pukhtoons and ain't being treated differently at all. If my own family hadn't lived in Mazar and nor my cousins recently had visited Herat, Mazar and Kunduz, I might have believed that Pukhtoons till the day of today are being detested.Last edited by Shayesta; 09-02-2010, 06:03 PM.Gar Jahanum Sakhtam Ferdaws Ham Mesazamat

the type of ethnic clashes that you are describing exists everywhere... take india for instance. the division between north and south, the animosity and tension between different casts, the animosity and clashes between hindus and muslims, hindus and sikhs, and other religions... the type of people who preach hatred and division exists everywhere and the same type of people exist in afghanistan as well. but the ethnic tension in afghanistan is exagerated by these ignorant people who haven't even seen afghanistan in their dream and leave no opportunity to talk about it.Originally posted by شمله ور خراساني View PostThese Pakistani Pashtun Nationalists have a problem with the fact that Pashtuns in Afghanistan do not have hatred and animosity for people of other ethnicity.

tell that to 700 hundred of my tribes people who were locked up for months as prisoners of war (women children, elderly and young men al togher in dungeons) by the local authorities of Takhar. Their crime was that they were expelled from Pakistani refugee camps and were forced to return to their own areas in Takhar. Their land was already taken by local warlords and they wer eventually sent back to Mashreqi and Kabul because the Takhar authorities denied them their right to live on their own property
Who cares what is the ethnicity of the governor? The president is also a Pashtun. What difference does that make?[SIZE="4"][B][CENTER][URL="www.quranawsunnat.com"]www.quranawsunnat.com
