^ Heart braking is the fact some people waiting to get wrong meaning out of someone else's post whom they don't agree with. I was referring at how Maseed used to praise Bacha Khan and his thinking but is ignoring the fact what Bacha Khan thought of Afghans and Afghanistan. To me Bacha Khan is much more precious than Karzai, Gulbuddin, Mullah Omar, or any other Afghan who does not even reach half of his legacy. No wonder even his tomb is being secured like crazy by people of Nangarhar, and very deservingly.

I dislike what was left after Bacha Khan. Bacha Khan as I started to read about him was a great guy and he worked for Pashtuns not Afghanistan or Pakistan. He never spoke of any unity with tajiks,uzbeks nor Punjabis so loy Afghanistan agenda is invalid here.

Bacha Khan is a icon for Pashtun Nationalism but I still beleive he was deceived by Indians by not doing an Armed struggle and choose to do peaceful struggle which could acheive nothing however Bacha Khan is a legend.

Bacha Khan was never against the idea of Afghanistan nor disloyal to it. He made Ghani Khan volunteer to help re instate the Pashtun leadership in Kabul following Bache e Saqao. Ghani Khan was there helping. And he never anti-Afghanistan, nor supported its balkanization. There is no proof that he was against shumaaliyaan.
These ideas didn't exist until a bunch of soviet setamis and ISI types in the 90s tried to bring these things about. Yes tensions were there but nowhere like this. The country was ripped apart in the 90s.

You are right Bacha khan worked for Pashtun not Afghanistan or Pakistan....He opposed the division of United India. He and his Khudai Khidmatgaars gave huge sacrifices for their cause but at the end they were left on the mercy of Mosam leagee wolves....Bacha khan says that everything was pre-planed and he was not aware that everything was settled between Congress, vicerory and Mosam league...being the leader of a regional party he could do nothing under those circumstances. Bacha khan says that when Mount baten arrived at peshawar he was warmly welcomed by Olaf caroe the then governor who was anti Pashtun ....He requested viceroy to punish the pashtuns by helding referendum in NWFP and to put them to mosam leaguee wolves who were thirsty for their blood....Viceroy did so and Bacha khan being an icon of Non-violence and a pure pakhtun didn't wanted to use violent means which he had condemned throught his life....after the partition Gandhi wrote to him that " your nation is superior than my nation..you and your followers remained firm on the non-violence doctrine but we didn't that's why millions of people are killed in India"...
There is a misconception that Bacha khan like faqir ipi always opposed Pakistan after its creation which is not true.....He at once accepted Pakistan and his first speech in the constituent assembly of Pakistan where he took oath of loyality to Pakistan is a proof of this...
ANP MNA Bushra Gohar has gathered his speeches/debates from the record room of National Assembly of Pakistan and Bacha khan research center has published these debates in the form of a booklet a few days ago......that shows that after the creation of pakistan he pully supported it and demanded for provincial autonomy which Mr. Jannah has promised to him......

Wrora why did he support united India? To me this was Bacha Khan`s political mistake. He wasted his movement on people that weren`t his own and when the time came he was sidelined. What was the point of even defending India? Were we Indians? Why didn`t Bacha Khan run a tehreek for united Pashtuns?

Thanks to ameer abdur rahman khan , The area across the durand line , pakhtunkhwa , is much civilized and have less extremism.

You sure about that? Pashtunkhwa is suffering everyday because of it.....I don`t understand you. You jump political bandwagons and are very counter productive. You may think you are benefiting pashtuns, but in reality stuff like this causes more problems.

Bacha khan in his book says that when i came to know that Sardar patel and Rajgopal acharya type politicians has blackmailed Ghandi jee and had turned him in favour of referendum i protested to Mr. Ghandi.... He realized his mistake and promised that i will talk with Viceroy......The next day he arranged a meeting with viceory....viceory told him that it is necessary that Mr. Jinnah should also be invited. when he came and the discussion started, I expressed my reservations and put forward my demands....to this Mr. Jinnah told me that you are my Muslim brother and i want to talk with you in personal.....i requested Mr. Gandhi to leave .....he went...Whle talking to jinnah i came to know that everything was already decided through mutual bargaining between jinnah Nehru and viceroy....Jinnah told me that now your protest is of no use .....now it is your wish whether to remaing loyal to your country i.e Pakistan and enjoy provincial autonomy or use violent mean which will destroy the peace of NWFP and the result will be very hazardous....He promised that pukhtuns of NWFP will be given complete provincial autonomy...Sameen jaan khan told me that if Mr. Jinnah didn't keep his promise then it is your right to struggle for an Azad Pukhtunistan....Bacha khan says Alas! Sameen jan khan is now dead so that i can tell him where is your Provincial autonomy.....
