My idea is simple and I am sure its not that hard to be implemented. I demand that the Govt makes a program for all expatriates to return back. We dont want money from the Govt but all we want is security. There are 20,000 Kandaharis in my city alone. Nearly all the men are educated and possess at least a bachelors and some go as far as Ph.D degree. I am sure that at least 1,000 will return and bring intelligence on how to improve our status. When I ask them sometimes at the Park(we have a park full of us lol) they all reject and say Kandahar is the capital of Afghanistan(Taliban era) and we cant return.

All of these ideas that are being brought forward so far will all fail miserably if the expatriates like Musafira, Admin, Jasmine, Tor Khan, Guley, and others do not return back. How can you control Afghanistan from the west? That is silly and impossible.

I have a plan that as soon as I get my Ph.D degree I will be returning to Afghanistan and I shall be in contact with you so together we can work for the betterment of Pashtuns in Afghankhwa and Afghanistan.

    Staso wror Shlombay Khan.

Within a Pashtun state there should be no capital as this just causes favoritism and puts one tribe above the other.

    Kind Regards

Where was the capital moved too by the family of the founder?

Past is Past now my friend. We need to write up some new contingency plans.

Firstly the name Afghanistan IStan is Farsi, I would prefer the land to be named Loy Pakhtunkhwa, the Land of the Pakhtuns/Pashtuns not the Farsi way of calling ones land.

Afghanistan already has a capital hence this is not an issue.

The question is who controls the capital and how?

It is only the Human resource which is conscious of their national interest which if present ensures that the reign of power are in the right hands. The reign of the power goes to the rights hands if the nation is critical and conscious about their interests and there is a team of minds who ensure that the policies of the state are on a track which leads to the progress and prosperity of the nation.

It is to find out a team of such Human Resources on which we need to fcous our efforts and this is the ultimate purpose of this thread.

The capital is controlled by Dari speaking Pashtuns. I am sick of both Peshaweri and Kandaharis always claiming their cities represent majority of Pashtuns.

Those of both cities have betrayed Pashtuns in the past and both should not be regarded with such high esteem.

If we want to Unite Pashtuns, there should be no prominance over city and province.

        Kind Regards

Stan is not farsi..where are people coming up with this? Stan is used by the iranic languages, it is a sort of cognate word like Khuda. Plus the capital is not the end be all of everything...there are three most obvious candidates- Peshawar, Kabul, and Kandahar. And there are other possibilities such as Quetta or Jalalabad. However these are minor issues as capitals have changed in the past. Worry about the important things.

There should be no Capital at all.

The rulers of Kandahar/Peshawer have always betrayed Pashtuns.

The rulers of Kandahar even betrayed their own and moved the capital of so called Pashtuns to Kabul lol.

Afghanistan IS NOT A PASHTO WORD. BLS you can spend the whole day avoiding it but Afghanistan is not a Pashtun/Pushto word. Its no different than Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan etc etc etc.

There is nothing Pashtun about it.

I am just saying. They have not betrayed Pashtuns history tells us if it was not for them you would have been speaking Dari. History tells us if they would have not conquered Persia things would have been different. They have done all this in history.

If you want to unite Pashtuns, don't insult Peshawaris, Laghmanis and Kandaharis.

              Just saying.
hahahaha Buddy the kings of Kandahar made Pushto official a few decades ago hahaha Dari was your only official language.

If you didnt know you guys would be speaking Urdu if we didnt defeat the British and even when we kicked out the British for you, you guys again betrayed us I.e Amanullah.

Kandahar is the past and should be left with the Past.

there should be no capital in the Pashtun state, there should be no Pakistan nor Afghanistan.

Both do not represent Pashtuns in the past nor the future.

              Kind Regards

Maseed I dont need to spend all day, when scholars have already done the job (the fact of the matter is both words are ancient and no one really knows which precedes the other...some scholars even say Pashtun is from a persian word...however this is a seperate topic). You all just want to prove this idea of yours so you are picking and choosing history. This isnt a buffet where you can choose what makes you feel good and discard the rest.

One part of state making requires that you have at least cities or a city where the major state institutions are placed. It has historical precedence and is logical.

a capital should be located in a very central and accessible area. We have to find out what are outer boundaries are and then look at local infrastructure and accessibility.

For as long as we have the current borders, it is futile to discuss capitals.

If loy Pakhtunkhwa ever came into being then a new modern capital should be built ( like islamabad), some where in the place central to all pashtun areas. About the rest of cities i would say
                        No to kabul

                        No to peshawer

                        No to Quetta

                        No to kandahar

If we are so immature that jealousy would exclude certain cities are we even ready for our own nation?

Why one will be jealous of "certain" cities? All pashtun cities are backward and not worthy to be jealous of.

How can we ignore the history of the Afghan Thryone, Its a well documented fact that they choose Dari over Pushto that is why Pushto only came official a few decades ago. They choose their own Tribe to lead the Thyrone and those were solely based in Kandahar. So my Argument is, There should be no Capital, Each Tribe should be their own government and a representative of each tribe should be represented in government.

I dont care or support Waziristan to be something Special, Waziristan is a small place full of Mountains and rivers and the people there are not much interested in holding power of Pakistan Nor Afghanistan. We are a Small tribe, we have no influence whats so ever in Afghanistan nor Pakistan. So dont take What I say as Waziristan Nationalism.I couldnt care less if Waziristan's name is changed to Khost.
