Behlol Lodhi used Pakhtun nationalism to perpetuate the Lodhi Dynasty in India, which lasted for generations, ultimately weakened by Ibrahim Lodhi due to his ill treatment of the Pakhtun elders. Behlol was famous in calling the Pakhtuns from Roh to visit India to get their share in power. Pakhtuns established their power in India due to Behlol's patronage. Later, Sher Shah Suri alighted to the zeenith and subdued the super power of the Moghals with the muscles of the Pakhtuns. Pir Rokhan and Khushal Baba endeavoured to unite the Pakhtun powers. Jalal ( Jalala) was appointed the king of the Pakhtuns. When Ahmad Shah Baba remembered the fancy of Pashtunkhwa on the majestic crown of Delhi, would you call him a racist?
Da Deli takht herawama che rayaad kram
Zma da khukale Pakhtunkhwa da Ghro saroona
    Khushal Baba declared;
Bala hees leedale na shee pa da myanz ke
Ya Moghal la mayanza wrak ya Pashtoon khwar ( and many more yearnings!)
The people who relentlessly abuse " Pakhtun nationalism" on these pages, should come out boldly and labell all the aforementioned Pakhtun heroes as racist, etc, etc. Pakhtuns have been misled, mismerized and misused by the riligio-fanatics. The wounds are still bleeding, but the hypocrites are playing their game to blurr the Pakhtun vision. Pakhtuns need to feel and palp their selves, recognize their national might and consolidate it to achieve what is good for this Nation.
Instead of using just the word 'Pashutn' if you could use the word Pashtun-afghan or Pashtun/afghan then things will get smooth and easy. But now that Pashtun/afghan have a State of their own, turning internal contradictions into animosity or enmity doesn't seem to be wise.

They are re inventing the wheel and have opened countless threads...yet it is based on that one faulty assumption.

        • And what is so amusing is that they are asking their rights from Afghanistan instead of Pakistani rulers.

In my opinion they are looking at it the wrong way. We should look at this as a two-front struggle. One on front we have to get out of Pakistan and sever our relationship with it. At the same time, in Afghanistan we have to protect and struggle for its sovreignty and stability. Pashtuns in Afghanistan can reclaim and rebuild provided we get the necessary sovereignty as we are the majority. We are also the kingpin in the equation of Afghanistan. They shouldn't transport the struggle of Pashtunkhwa in Afghanistan...it is politics of a minority breaking away. They are basically going jeopardize Pashtuns/Afghans on both sides.

            • Their stand unwittingly leads to retaining status quo for Pashuns in Pakistan, because they provide an excuse for the Punjab co-opted Pashtuns.

I am for a Loy Afghanistan only.
                    What have they witnessed eh?

Half of Afghanistan speaks Farsi, Dawazai went to Afghanistan himself and saw with his own eyes Pashtuns rejecting Pushto and choosing to learn Dari instead.

Ahmad Shah looted India and his soldiers raped many Indian Punjabi Women. His descendants choose Farsi over Pushto and his son or nephew move capital from Kandhar to Kabul and again Pushto only became official a few decades ago.

Talk about Racism and Imperialism. I hate Imperialism and I as a Pashtun will never want to occupy anybodys land in the name of Nationalism. We are a people who are occupied by two people called Darizubans and Punjabis.

If you want to follow this Islamic Unity talk with them then dont expect your fellow Muslim Punjabi to let go of Pakhtunkhwa and accept Loy Afghanistan.

Loy Afghanistan was written off to the British a very long time ago and it will never be brought back no matter how many people support it.

Come on Guys, we need to let go of the past and stop day dreaming of this durrani empire and loy afghanistan.

Khoobina ma kasay! Loy Pakhtunkhwa is the way forward. A state that SOLELY represents Pashtuns only, if those who object to it then stick with your current countries and stop provoking Pashtuns to go against Pakistan so we can khoobi khoobi and clap hands.

                    Kind Regards

It is impossible for non Pashtuns in Afghanistan to accept Pashtuns across the durrand line.

I hate double standards and we can not hate pakistan but then love a bigger criminal being the tajiks and uzbeks the so called Dari zubans.

                      Kind Regards

You all act as if you are going to give up Afghanistan just by changing the name and giving up a big portion of your land. This is not logical. If that split does happen, all you are getting is a truncated form of Afghanistan that is it. Whether you all call it Pashtunkhwa, or aryaana or Afghanistan doesn't make a difference. Your entire struggle is based on semantics.

Loy Pashutnkhwa = afghanistan without the north
Loy Afghanistan = afghanistan unified with the north.

Don't you see the inherent problems in this idea? And if Britain broke up the dream of Loy Afghanistan they essentially also did that to Pashtunkhwa...since both are based on the unification of 60 million Pashtuns. It goes both ways.

BTW whether or not Pashtunkhwa or Afghanistan was even on the table, in terms of Pakistan it is irrelevant...since clearly that state works contrary to Pashtuns. This isn't a tit for tat thing or some tajik vs panjabi..it is purely the idea that the state called Pakistan is antagonistic towards us..their interests are not ours, and will never be. Hence why we don't see any future with it.

Who said it is impossible? Do you have access to stats we don't? Pashtunistan movement was at the heights in the 50s, 60s, and 70s..not once was there a viable movement by non pashtuns against it. Not once. The closest thing was a bunch ex-commies known as setamis, and even they couldn't muster a militia in the 90s to recognize their ideas.

It is not double standards when they are two fundamentally different things.

Tajiks, uzbeks -- minorities who had a fallout with us in the 90s. They committed crimes against us and we against them. It was a civil war.

Pakistan -- an entire state machinery with an army, an intel and interests that run contrary to yours.
How on earth are you saying they are one and the same? When the northerners try for their new supposed state or has an army that big then you will be right...but as of now it isn't. So stop comparing them.

Do you think Tajiks,Uzbeks and Hazara will accept Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa?

                            Be realistic man?

Also are Pashtuns of Pakistan more integrated into Pakistani Society than Pashtuns of Northern Afghanistan? Has a Pakistani Soldier ever raped 100's of Pashtuns women? put Pashtuns into containers and fire on them and made them to suffer for oxygen?

If there is a State for Pashtuns then these problems of language and identity will be resolved.

If you want to muster a past empire ran by mr Durrani then you should also claim India as your own and Pakistan Punjab and Sindh. All those areas broke away and retained their language and culture.

Pashtuns are still stuck between two Nations who couldnt give a toss about Pashtuns as a whole.

                            Kind Regards

Afghanistan wrote off Pakhtunkhwa to the British. I never seen a single military campaign led by the Afghans to reclaim the land. Maybe Daud tried but his own Afghans turned on him.

When Afghanistan was progressing, it was Afghans themselves who fled to Pakistan and created the Peshawer Seven, Pakistan never forced them, they did it out of their own choice.

What makes you these people wont do it again?

This Pakistan and this Afghanistan are just mere Nationalities, they are not names of our tribes nor blood. Our Nation should be based soley on Pashtuns and we must let of of this ego of ruling over these Immigrant ethinicites such as tajiks, uzbeks and mongolian Hazaras.

No but they bombed humiliated and displaced you. They made billions on our heads. You are diverting and my point still stands. Either give me some solid historical proof of what you previously claimed or just leave it at that. Like I told you before, just by changing the name won't end the link you have with the Afghan name and identity. You can't have a nation of 100 % pashtuns...even in majority Pashtun areas there are percentages of minorities...what about them?
