No need for Peer Reviewed sources for you, since you accept journalists that "lived there" I MET YOUR standard of evidence, you have yet to meet mine.
So you only have one source? One source?

Also I would like to see Rashid's quote about Taliban being made up of non-Afghans/non-Pashtuns.

I will adress Rashid, but I need to see your other sources.

...the hell? Sounds like, You are changing goal posts.

Demanding from an opponent that he or she address more and more points after the initial counter-argument has been satisfied refusing to conceded or accept the opponent’s argument.

Description: Demanding from an opponent that he or she address more and more points after the initial counter-argument has been satisfied refusing to concede or accept the opponent’s argument.
      But ...Okay another sources:

William Maley, The Afghanistan Wars. p. 220.

. ... On 29 October 1994, a convoy of trucks, including a notorious ISI officer, Sultan Amir ... and two figures who were later to become prominent Taliban leaders, entered Afghanistan."

Here's the Rashid quote, there's a Paywall for this article but this is the quote.

Across one of the world's most sensitive regions, radical Islam and repressive politics are gaining ground. As they consolidate their power over Afghanistan, the Taliban are starting to destabilize the entire surrounding area—and beyond. Muslim fundamentalists from around the globe study revolution under their tutelage, rebel armies find sanctuary on their turf, and the drugs and other goods that are smuggled out of the country are undermining the economies of Afghanistan's Central Asian neighbors. The Great Game has changed, and the West must learn the new rules. This article appears in the Foreign Affairs eBook, "The U.S. vs. al Qaeda: A History of the War on Terror." Now available for purchase.

"between 1994 and 1999, an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 Pakistanis trained and fought in Afghanistan"
      Peter Tomsen interview

Throughout this whole period, the ISI played the major role in military matters, from organizing offenses to equipping the forces that were fighting, and even putting out public statements. … There was a colonel in Herat and there was a major in Kandahar -- they were coaching Mullah Omar and other Taliban, who were for the most part semiliterate, on how to administer their areas and how to proceed militarily. …
The interview also deals with more with what incriminates the Taliban as Pakistani stooges, but we'll focus on what was requested.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Goal posts? I ask for your sources for where you derive all your opinions about the conflict in Afghanistan and the Taliban, and you have delivered 3 sources.

So all of what you think in the last several years depends on these 3 sources and Ferdousi?

        But ...Okay another sources:

I will look into your second source but from a superficial glance it looks like it is out of an action movie : ""notorious" ISI officer was teaching "semiliterates" how to run a country

        Very objective and sound analysis

I ask for your sources, and you muster up 3 weak ones.

Ahmad Rashid tried to raise a rebellion against Pakistan way back in the day. This guy just doesn't talk, he acts.

According to him, most all militant Islamic movements have Pakistan's fingerprints on them.

        Ahmad Rashid also said this.

"Chief among these differences, Rashid explained, is that the Afghan Taliban seem to have moderated their rhetoric over the last decade and emphatically do not regard India as their enemy — a stance, Rashid told his listeners, that doesn't go down well with their patrons and nominal allies in Pakistan."

Do you accept his view that Taliban do not view India as their enemy?

Ah yes, the trademark UnknownPrince "avoid the evidence" tactic that you always pull at moments like this.

Unfortunately for you, calling them"weak sources" doesn't make them weak sources. You'll have to present Strong COUNTER Evidence demonstrating their weakness, since this is your claim and the onus is on the claim maker. P.S. your creative commentary doesn't suffice as "Strong Counter Evidence" LOL

What does Ahmad Rashid trying to raise a rebellion have to do with his information about the Taliban? He's not trying to "raise a rebellion" with that information. He's just reporting.

And what he said about Taliban's view against India doesn't surprise me. The Taliban were enemies of Iran too, but now they're bootlicking Iran. So what? Taliban are stooges, stooges are doing what stooges do best, try to court new benefactors. Heck, Taliban were once trying to Bootlick UNOCAL and The West.

If anything, what you just did was VERIFY that Taliban are not legitimate or sincere, They're prostitutes doing the bidding of their Pimps. Good Job.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Lol at no point can you ever tell people to not to question your 3 sources. Your sources are weak and biased

That is a standard that does not exist even for Trump, who are you.

Again, you have to demonstrate that with counter-evidence. You haven't shown any support for your narrative about them. In fact, at this point it's ad-hominem, which is a logical fallacy. Until then these still stand.

Im sorry, you can't expect people not to question the 3 sources provided.

                That is absurd beyond reason

You made a claim ...about the sources themselves ....that's not a question...Nice try though.

Waiting for that counter evidence Little fella.

Everyone can question your sources lol

Is this your claim? " Taliban are Pakistani stooges."

Or this " Taliban are an extension of the Pakistan army, serving Pak interests and have no interests of their own"

Were the Vietnamese stooges for taking support from China and Russia during Vietnam war?

Was Mirwais Neka a stooge for taking support from Ottomans during his war with Safavid Persians?

Was Ahmad Shah Baba a stooge due to his dealings with Persia?

William Wallace for taking support from French?

Why stop there, you may as well ask if the Communist Afghan government was a stooge of the Soviet Union ?

Making claims about the merits of sources is not questioning sources. Still waiting on counter evidence that shows the sources are weak by the way.

Why are you reluctant to answer these questions?

Then you shouldn't have demanded evidence from me, now you seem to be caught of guard by the evidence and are trying to muddy the waters and make an ink cloud.
