    So here goes:

Fact: Afghanistan has and will survive and prosper without a US war.

    Bogus and whacky:

You stating there would be chaos if US were to leave is a Pro-Regime talking point and a Neocon bogus talking point. It is meant to rationalize the US war as if war brings stability. It fits into the larger Orwellian "War is peace and peace is war" narrative. In other words, bullll shhhhit! You are probably influenced into actually believing this. No war = peace ok

It is just not realistic. Without the US, the regime would not last longer than Najib's post Soviet time. Dostum and Ismail Khan are totally irrelevant. They are in the past. The ANA is a joke. New governing power would emerge. This regime would be in the past.

Trump doesn't care about his reputation with the international community or with the neocons. Trump firstly only cares about Trump.

Secondly, Trump cares about his electability with his base-supporters who don't give a damn about Afghanistan and whoever wins there.

We all should back and support Trump on this. In fact, despite all the repulsive policies of Trump, I would much rather have Trump than any MIC-sponsored crap Democrat or Republican persona.

MAGA 2020. Peace with North Korea, out of Afghanistan. World peace. No more wars.

The world will survive without US wars.
A Pakistani trying to convince you about how great Afghanistan will be under Taliban its all what you need to know to oppose the Taliban. You guys claim Afghans are namak harams but you are way worse than us. Your deceitful Dalit blood still run thick in your veins.

Dude, the Pakistani line is old. It doesn't discredit anything I say. Are you not happy that Trump is getting US out of the war?

Pakistan with NATO supply lines and use of airspace made the US/NATO war possible.

Trump is getting out, not happy about that then sucks for you

I think they want to ensure an interim governement would be having electricity and basic water services running throughout the country. Other aspects like waste management/ garbage removal because this Kabul regime doesn't even have that to show for after 17 years.

And then ensuring that devolpment projects continue, that their state fully controls the national resources like copper and lithium. Banks, stock exchange, etc. All these things are probably on their list.

It seems the Taliban want a relationship with the US post US exit for trade.
That's a very lofty, rose-tinted view the Taliban. I have reservations about whether the Taliban care that much about infrastructure given their history. This seems more lip service that Taliban apologists create because they know people against the Taliban are well aware the Taliban are probably the least competant in fulfilling any of that.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Least competent is when you have more money than the reconstruction of Europe after WW2 and build almost nothing with it. The Taliban had nothing and they built very little and they stood up to a regional power and forced Iran to deploy 200,000 troops to try to release the water they were holding back. The current gov just bends over for everyone that is willing to pay them and sometimes for free.

Even the "least" competent in the instance you describe are more competant than the Taliban. At least THEY can build things, What can the Taliban build ...a miswak? LOL

They gave the country security with no resources as opposed to the current gov who has all the money in the world.
Don't lie, The current gov has built nothing, its the international aid agencies and foreign govs that have done all the work and the reality is the Afghan gov actually puts obstacles in place for international Aid Agencies and foreign govs to build more because they want to steal the money from the Aid agencies and foreign govs.

Honestly, all they really did was almost win the civil war. Had Jamiat or Hezb defeated their foes like the Taliban did, there would have also been peace.

I mean, steamrolling their opponents was a great military accomplishment but that is really all they have. We can talk about Islamic rule and all these things but Afghans are not Kuffar who need a government to teach them their religion nor were their main military opponents Kuffar at the time.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Your simplifying things. Jamiat got the power after 2001 and what did they accomplish? They basically bent over and accepted a constitution and system that basically tells people its OK to steal the national resources.
There will be no peace in Afghanistan unless you can convince people of your legitimacy. Stealing the national resources and selling them for pennies on the dollar is not a case for legitimacy.

Hekmatyar couldn't bring Pashtuns together and most Hezb commanders joined the Taliban in the 90s. This means that Mullah Omar was convincing people of legitimacy. All reports point to pashtuns in rural areas would rather have the Taliban resolve disputes instead of the gov officials. This is all about legitimacy. Hearts and Minds. The so called "Cave Monkeys" are way ahead in this chess game than the so called "educated elites."

Disputes among neighbors or families are rare, and when they arise, the district governor or judge quickly settles them. A health official regularly monitors clinics to make sure that doctors and nurses are present and that medicines are stocked. Across the district’s schools, government teachers actually show up, and student attendance is high—an anomaly in a state system where absenteeism is rife.

On paper, Charkh’s surprising success could be interpreted as evidence of how the U.S.-backed administration of President Ashraf Ghani has finally extended a semblance of good governance beyond the capital of Kabul. But in fact the Afghan government deserves no credit for Charkh; the district is currently governed by the Taliban.

Build what exactly? It is a money fleecing scheme. Even a rich prostitute can build things. So if they build things, occupation is ok?

But please tell me about these "things."

The Afghan gov builds nothing, they just steal. Its foreign govs and Aid agencies that build and they selling Afghan independence for it. Its like the Paki giving China a 99 year lease for Gawadar in exchange for some development money. This is not developing, this is prostituting.

Basically "Whatabouttery", you didn't answer what the Taliban can build.

Corruption and peace are different things, the central Asian states north of Afghanistan are peaceful but probably as corrupt. I am against the foreign influenced constitution but I don’t know where it states it’s “OK to steal the national resources” Afghanistan was relatively peaceful a few years after 2001 but there was still infighting because these political parties/militias were never fully defeated. Had Afghans been left alone, natural selection would of chosen a winner. I think you are overestimating Afghans here, look at the millions who turn out for elections to participate in a process I am sure most know is flawed.

Hezb members jumped ship to the Taliban because they could see the writing on the wall, they wanted to join the winners and not go down with the ship. These people don’t fall on their swords, they join the winning side. Who do you think were operating Taliban tanks and aircraft in the 90’s? It wasn’t madrassa students, it was former commies who didn’t want to end up like Najib.
